Accommodation overview: The Bakehouse is a quaint holiday cottage located in the centre of the village of Aston, a lovely spot set in the heart of the Oxfordshire Cotswolds. The cottage, once the local bakery, has been well restored to provide comfortable holiday accommodation in a peaceful environment. Internally the cottage retains the character of the original building mixed with furnishings of a traditional style. Of particular appeal is the large garden and courtyard with ornamental pond and built in barbecue to the side and rear of the property. The cottage is located close to Oxford, Burford and the Cotswolds plus other locations such as Woodstock and a multitude of other local attractions, The Bakehouse is the ideal base from which to explore this beautiful area. In our opinion this is a basic holiday cottage that provides superb value for money! Accommodation overview: Tithe Barn, Lyneham is a very large and spacious barn conversion that is a great choice for a family country holiday. Set on a working farm within a small Cotswolds hamlet, the barn has nearby access to the rolling countryside of the Oxfordshire Cotswolds. The open plan living that the owners have created make it a real treat and clearly ideal for entertaining. Internally the barn has been carefully renovated and provides superb facilities and touches including the enormous windows in the centre of the building, which we feel will make it a firm favourite with customers. Externally this English Country barn has an enclosed garden and access to brilliant walks in every direction. The cottage has a wonderfully warm and welcoming feel throughout, particularly the ground floor where there is a large inglenook fireplace with wood burner, flagstone floor and beams. The cottage is located in a very quiet spot, at the end of a traditional terrace of cottages and set back from the main village lane. There is a small yet private south facing garden with table and chairs. The village is one of the Cotswold's finest with some classic buildings and houses, a very popular village pub and some superb walks from your front door. The cottage sleeps four people in two bedrooms - one double and one twin and there is a bathroom with bath, separate shower, basin and WC, along with a ground floor cloakroom with basin and WC. The living accommodation comprises a fitted kitchen, utility and sitting room with open fire and dining area. Outside, there is off road parking for two cars and a gravelled garden area with furniture. Guests also have shared use of the owner's heated outdoor swimming pool and tennis court. With the village pub close by, on the river, and with historic Oxford within easy reach, Dutton House makes a great base for a break in the Cotswolds.
