There is much to see and do to suit all ages and tastes including The Big Sheep and The Milky Way which offer fantastic indoor and outdoor facilities. Other interesting places to visit are Clovelly a unique cliff-side village with steep stepped cobbled streets leading to a pretty harbour RHS Rosemoor Gardens or Dartington Crystal where you can watch glass being blown or browse around their sparkling showroom. The 2 miles of golden sandy beach at Westward Ho! is a 5 minute drive away and is perfect for surfing body boarding or exploring the rock pools at low tide. Other activities such as riding golf swimming tennis and cliff-top walks are all close by. In the evenings enjoy Appledore s famous hospitality with a wide range of traditional pubs serving good food.
