Accommodation overview: CHARMING COMPLEX OF PROPERTIES SITUATED ON THE EDGE OF THE PEAK DISTRICT NATIONAL PARK This quiet complex of 16 properties is located around a picturesque lake and 10 acres of woodland and have all been laid out so that the properties benefit from the communal areas nevertheless enjoying their own privacy. All properties have been finished to a good standard throughout and benefit from a spacious and well considered design. A visit to the Peak District is guaranteed to be an unforgettable experience containing Areas of Natural Outstanding Beauty from the rolling valleys of the White Peak to the harsher wilder grit stone edges of the Dark Peak in the north spread over nearly 600 square miles and dotted with an array of charming market towns and quaint villages maintaining traditional customs and values. Matlock is easily reached and is a must with its charming architecture and offers a wealth of restaurants individual shops and welcoming pubs. A short drive from the properties are Carsington Watersports Chatsworth House Gullivers Kingdom wonderful walking and cycling country scenic drives and the Blue John Mines to name but a few of the fantastic attractions within the Peak District. Outside: all guests are welcome to explore and enjoy the 10 acres of communal grounds and lakes with picnic benches spread throughout the site. Amenities: ample off-road parking on site. The village has a weekend farm shop which sells good quality local produce. The cottage is totally detached down a quiet track with off-street parking and a wonderful private garden. Inside, the cottage really is a haven of olde England, boasting antique furniture, period beams, an open fire in the sitting room with many books and an ever popular AGA. In our opinion this cottage offers good value for money in a truly idyllic spot!Get local, organic food delivered to your door including vegetables, eggs, ice cream, yoghurt, home made bread and cakes and ready prepared home made meals!
