Accommodation overview: A pretty thatched cottage tucked away in the coastal village of Bucks Mills, Devon. This pretty semi detached thatched cottage is tucked away in Bucks Mills, a picturesque village on the edge of the sea. Full of character features including pine latch doors, small paned windows with deep sills and wooden flooring; it is perfect for couples looking for an escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Approached by several steps through the front garden the entrance door opens directly into the charming living/ dining room with an impressive stone inglenook and comfy sofa. The country style kitchen is fitted in pine and to the rear of the cottage, with two steps up, is a separate utility room and spacious refurbished modern bathroom. Upstairs are two lovely bedrooms, carpeted for comfort and one having a sloping ceiling in parts. Tiered lawns and multi level gardens, not suitable for small children, give ample space to relax with the sound of the stream meandering by. A gentle stroll will take you down to a rocky beach with sandy areas, as shown in the website photograph. There are plenty of rock pools, good for prawning, and you will find the view along to Clovelly and out to Lundy Island quite spectacular. Just under a mile up the lane you will conveniently find the local post office and store.
