This cottage, which dates back 200 years, was once a farmworkers dwelling and now offers guests the chance to stay in an English country cottage which is well equipped, and furnished with taste and style. The cottage has three spacious bedrooms; a double room with an en-suite, and two twin rooms. There is also a spacious kitchen with dining area, and a sitting room which is airy and welcoming. The village offers a pub with cask-ales, and Bulbarrow Hill, one of Dorset's highest points, is nearby, with walks and stunning views. The Pavilion has unrivalled views of the beautiful rolling countryside. Full-length French windows running the length of the property afford a 180 degree panorama of farmland and woods stretching five miles in every direction. The bucolic setting is second to none: although on the edge of a quintessential Cotswold village, here you will feel at one with nature, away from it all.
Built in the 1990s in a style reminiscent of the colonial era, the Pavilion was until recently a writer's retreat. The interior has been refurbished to the highest standard by designer Susie Stocks, whose restful palette complements the landscape beyond. There is a veranda along its southern side, with a private decked area and lawn one end, and a patio the other. The fields beyond are 'Footpath Central' where it is not unusual to happen upon deer.
Within 10 minutes' drive are a host of top quality pubs, including the Feathered Nest in Westcote, the Plough in Kingham and the Kings Head in Bledington. Stow-on-the-Wold. Daylesford Farm Shop, Burford (with its famous Wildlife Park) and Bourton-on-the-Water are all within five miles. Oxford and Stratford-Upon-Avon are half an hours' drive away. Kingham station (90 minutes from Paddington) is two miles away.

Built in the 18th century and situated in the grounds of the owners beautiful home, this classic little cottage is situated on the edge of the picturesque village of Priston itself just 15 minutes from the very centre of Bath. A detached property and literally within yards of open countryside, this traditional holiday cottage provides quality self catering accommodation at a superb price. Internally the cottage enjoys many period features including exposed beams, thick stone walls and Gothic archways all of which add to the character of the original building. Added to this is the stripped pine flooring and the wood-burner which make the cottage warm and homely. A coffin from this site was discovered in 1917! The village is recorded in the Domesday Book as including the presence of a church, possibly wooden; however the nave of the Church of St Luke and St Andrew was added in the 12th century, and the church has a tower dating from the 15th century. It has been designated by English Heritage as a Grade I listed building and is crowned with a disproportionately large weather vane given as a gift by the lord of the manor in 1813. As you can see the village is steeped in history. Priston Mill was given by the monks of Bath Abbey in 931 and is powered by a 25 feet water wheel. Today the present building dates from the late 18th or early 19th century and is maintained in working condition, with the associated tithe barn (1700's) it is currently used as a wedding and conference venue.Nearby is the Georgian City of Bath with its many facilities and shops plus Glastonbury, Wells, Weston-Super-Mare, Stourhead, Longleat House & Safari Park, Castle Combe, Lacock.

Explore the seasonal wonders of Exmoor National Park the rugged North Devon Atlantic coastline and the golden sands of Woolacombe Croyde and Saunton Sands which are 10 minutes by car.
