The historic city of York and Leeds are all within easy reach for a cultured day out with many museums and galleries or they are excellent for some retail therapy. Hull with its magnificent waterfront boasts a relaxing atmosphere along with a vibrant mix of culture, shopping and nightlife and events from jazz festivals to sea shanties all within a half hours drive away.
