The dramatic scenery of the North Yorkshire Moors can be enjoyed aboard the famous steam train which runs from Pickering (13 miles) to the ancient fishing port of Whitby. Accommodation overview: Set at the head of Swaledale in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, Arngill Cottage was originally built as Mukers Wesleyan Chapel in 1845, converted into cottages in the 1940s and lovingly renovated over the last years, now offering a charming and well equipped character cottage. It has a stone flagged entrance hall, feature staircase curving to a balustrated landing on the first floor, solid oak floor boards, lime-washed walls, a large open plan living area with beamed ceiling, window seats, stone and lime rendered fireplace with wood-burning stove.
