Gamblesby is a hidden gem surrounded by unspoilt countryside and lies in the heart of the Eden Valley. It has a set of stocks on the village green made at the end of the 18th century and last used to punish someone who had stolen a turnip! It is a 20 minute drive to the spectacular Lake District where there is so much to do and see. There is a wealth of visitor attractions and amenities within easy reach including South Lakes Animal Zoo the Rheged Centre in Penrith and Little Salkeld to name but a few. Lounge/kitchen/diner: upstairs open-plan with sitting area with original exposed beams TV and DVD. Kitchen area well-equipped with electric oven/hob fridge/freezer dishwasher and microwave.
