An ideal spot for guests who are looking to explore the local area with pretty villages and towns the Jurassic Coast beaches and sheltered coves all within a short drive. There are also a wealth of attractions to suit all tastes. Locally there are walks including through Melbury Park to the neighbouring village of Evershot with pub and shop. There are many Thomas Hardy locations (his mother was born and married in the village) Sherborne with its abbey and two castles Montacute House Yeovilton Fleet Air Arm museum Haynes Motor Museum the Cerne Giant and on the coast Abbotsbury West Bay and Bridport Weymouth and Lyme Regis.
