Accommodation
Cradled by the surrounding hills, this traditional Lakeland cottage enjoys an idyllic rural situation, tucked away in the quiet Duddon valley – reputedly Wordsworth’s favourite, within the Lake District National Park and close to the River Duddon – a pleasant spot for picnics and private salmon and trout fishing. This ‘little gem’ of a cottage provides a carefully furnished home from home, with some stunning walks and scenic drives from the door; a footpath runs alongside the house leading to Stickle Pyke. Easy touring of this spectacular region takes in Muncaster Castle, the Ravenglass and Eskdale Steam Railway, Coniston Water and Hardknott Fort, to name but a few. Shop 1 mile, country pub 2 miles. Open-plan beamed living room with wood-burning stove in inglenook, tiled floor and kitchen area with beech wood units. French doors to garden/dining room with sofa-bed (for +2).
