Bodnant Garden, the world famous garden owned by the National Trust, is central to the Estate and within one to two miles' walking distance from the properties. A perfect outdoor break, the Bodnant Estate is privately owned and this holiday farmhouse lies off a single track lane from where there are glorious walks along private paths through woods and across farmland on the Bodnant Estate. Bodnant Garden is open 361 days a year.
There are many attractions and places to visit in this part of Wales. Within a 20-minute drive is the elegant Victorian seaside resort of Llandudno. Also the sandy beaches of Conwy, Penmaenmawr and Colwyn Bay are within about a 15-minute drive. Snowdonia National Park is on the doorstep, including the Swallow Falls near Betws-y-Coed and Snowdon. The summit of Snowdon can be reached via the mountain train from Llanberis. A number of Welsh castles including Conwy, Caernarfon, Beaumaris, Harlech, Dolwydellan, Denbigh and Rhuddlan are within easy striking distance.
Bryn Rhydd is a light airy holiday cottage high above the Conwy valley, in a peaceful pastoral setting, with excellent views south west and west to the Carneddau mountains and to Snowdonia. French windows open from the sitting room onto the south facing garden terrace overlooking the mountains.
