Accommodation overview: Weydale Farm Cottage is a detached farm cottage situated on the owners 140 acre farm, with rare breed sheep grazing nearby and open views across the fields to the mountains beyond. The cottage has recently undergone extensive renovation and refurbishment. This traditional farm cottage, with its wood lined walls, local flag stone kitchen floors and deep silled windows now provides attractive, homely accommodation in a very quiet setting.Approached via a 3/4 mile traditional stone road, Weydale Farm Cottage has no near neighbours and offers a real sense of space, with a get away from it all feel to it. The large lounge, with traditional tongue and groove wood panelling has soft leather sofas and chairs. Accommodation overview: In a lovely location on the spectacular north coast, this stone built detached house overlooks the quiet crofting community of Kirtomy and enjoys wonderful views out to the cliffs and North Atlantic. The house was originally a croft house and dates back to the 1800's. It has a cultivated enclosed garden to the front and large rough garden area at the rear. The house is bright and welcoming and the quality renovation retained many of the lovely traditional features - a very comfortable and attractive holiday home in a wonderful location.
Kirtomy is ideally situated for exploring this magnificent scenic coast. There are many lochs around the area with free fishing, sailing, bird watching, pony trekking, hill-walking and a golf course further along the coast. Day trips can be arranged to the Orkney Islands from Scrabster. Bettyhill is approx 4 miles away with local shopping and hotels, the large country town of Thurso is 30 miles.
