Accommodation overview: Situated on the edge of Oxenhope, a small village outside Haworth in the heart of Bronte Country, Moorside Cottage provides recently completely renovated self - catering cottage accommodation ensuring a cosy retreat in this beautiful and peaceful area of Yorkshire. With wooden beamed ceilings and the old fireplace retained, the lounge has character, and a dining table overlooks a stunning view over fields towards Oxenhope. The kitchen is well equipped, and there are three comfortable bedrooms. A warm welcome is ensured at Moorside Cottage, combining modern features with all the character and charm of an old stone terrace. A short walk down the hill from the cottage takes you into Oxenhope, with pubs and shops. The village is the southern terminus for the Worth Valley Steam Railway which holds seasonal events throughout the year. Walks can be accessed direct from the door, one taking you on the old pack horse trail towards Hebden Bridge which is a delightful town to explore. The area is perfect for Bronte enthusiasts, with Haworth village just 2 miles away and Top Withens, believed to be Emily Brontes inspiration for the Earnshaw residence in Wuthering Heights, just a short walk from the cottage. Haworth with its quaint cobbled street, abundance of tea rooms. good pubs and quirky shops is worthy of a visit. Other attractions in the area include the World Heritage Site of Saltaire, complete with David Hockney museum housed in the old mill, the National Media Museum in Bradford and Dean Clough, famous for arts and the theatre, in Halifax, Leeds, Bradford, Halifax and Manchester are all within easy reach for theatre and concerts. Skipton and the Yorkshire Dales National Park, the Yorkshire Sculptor Park and the Hepworth Gallery are within an hour making Moorside Cottage an ideal base for touring the area.

Surrounded by moorland and countryside, Stone cottage is a perfect retreat following a day out. There are traditional English Country pubs in close proximity where choices of menu are available.
Stone cottage was lovingly refurbished in 2011 and retains much of its original character.
Accommodation details: Lounge with comfortable seating & dining area, a 32†flat screen TV & DVD player. A well equipped kitchen with electric oven & gas hob, fridge with freezer compartment and microwave oven.
A utility room with washing machine, an ideal place for storing coats, boots and bycicles etc. An open staircase leads to a mezzanine landing that enjoys far reaching views with a sofa bed and small library. Bathroom with white three piece suite with shower over bath, heated towel rail and shaver point.
The bedroom has a king size bed and matching pine furniture & hairdryer. A high chair, travel cot and safety gate are all available. However, please bring along your own cot bedding.
There is an enclosed courtyard with garden furniture and BBQ.
An initial supply of coal, heating, power, bed linen and towels are included.iPod connection and internet access available on request.
No smoking and sorry no pets allowed. Private off road parking for one car 50 yards from the property, parking is also available by the cottage on a first come, first served basis.
