Accommodation overview: Wagon House is stunning holiday cottage set in a beautiful village location deep with in the rolling Southern Cotswolds. Located in the grounds' of the owners' home, this delightful holiday house has been recently renovated to a very high standard and provides quality accommodation packed with period features in peaceful surroundings. The cottage is situated in the beautiful and traditional Cotswold village of Little Somerford which is a short distance from the ancient market town of Malmesbury, there is a village store a short walk away and a pub (The Somerford Arms) in the nearby village of Great Somerford. (Note 20/8/12: Pub in Little Somerford re-opening soon!) Internally, the property is presented beautifully, spacious both on the ground floor and upstairs. We really feel this is ideal for a couple looking for an opportunity to relax and enjoy glorious surroundings. To make your stay even more enjoyable the owner, who is most welcoming, is willing to offer breakfast and other treats should you be interested. This cottage is one that is 'off-the-beaten-track' and therefore a real gem for you to enjoy. We are sure you will love it too! Accommodation overview: POSITIONED ON THE EDGE OF A CANAL This detached barn is perfect for relaxing and watching the slower pace of life go by. Why not hire a narrow boat for the day? Boat hire is approximately 200 metres along the canal electric boat hire is 4 miles away and all boats can be moored outside the property. Staverton Marina is within walking distance either by road or tow path. There are several restaurants and pubs a short drive away. Enjoy a walk or bike ride along the canal path to Bradford-on-Avon with its Tythe Barn character buildings tea rooms restaurants and shops. Nearby you will find the Avoncliff Aqueduct Semington village and the Roman city of Bath 10 miles away is steeped in history with bath spas shops pubs restaurants theatre and other leisure activities. Explore other charming Cotswolds towns and villages such as Laycock with its abbey and gardens and the market towns of Devizes with the famous Caen Hill flight of locks and Chippenham. The accommodation offers TWO bedrooms: on the ground floor accommodation 1 twin with TV. Upstairs 1 double with TV and a separate dressing room approached via steep open-tread stairs that are enclosed with stairgates. The stairs are not recommended for children or babies but a cot can be put in the hallway outside the ground floor bedroom. Bathroom: with corner bath shower attachment with screen to bath and WC. Lounge/diner: with canal views 42 TV Freeview video DVD and French doors. Kitchen: with gas hob electric oven microwave fridge/freezer dishwasher washing machine and a casual seating area with TV. Outside: French doors lead onto a small patio with seating ideal for trying a spot of fishing. There is an enclosed garden for children but it is recommended that they are supervised. Accommodation overview: Somerford Cottage is a quintessential English country cottage set in the heart of a beautiful and classic Cotswold village, itself located in the southern Cotswolds. The property, which has a history dating back hundreds of years, was once part of the village's Manor House, offers lovely large rooms throughout, all presented in an attractive and stylish fashion, with careful attention given to mixing contemporary furniture with traditional cottage features. Of particular appeal is the spacious living area, which is light, airy and inviting. As one would expect with a property of such history there are delightful, mature gardens, which customers can enjoy (see below*), in fact the owners are able to offer seasonal 'home grown produce' to customers - wonderful!! Locally, the village of Great Somerford is a thriving community with an excellent local shop and pub both within a 5 minute walk. LOCATIONGreat Somerford (part of 'The Somerfords) is a traditional village situated in the southern Cotswolds, deep in the heart of Wiltshire's Clay Vale, sandwiched between the limestone belt of the Cotswolds and the chalklands of the Malborough Downs. Amongst a few 'claims to fame' is the fact that the village is believed to have the country's oldest allotment with notes of a private growing dating back to 1809! Nearby is the market town of Malmesbury, which has a beautiful church, with Tetbury. 15 mins drive, an antique collectors heaven a little further away. Westonbirt Arboretum, with its amazing walks and forests is within 2o minutes drive. Bath, in particular, is a convenient drive away as are a wide variety of Cotswold attractions and attractive villages.

The cottage is situated in rural Hampshire found in the heart of the picturesque Test Valley 2 miles from the vibrant market town of Romsey with the ancient cathedral cities of Salisbury and Winchester both approximately 14 miles away. The village is situated on the Test Way which passes by many pretty villages historic churches and country houses. Nearby Romsey offers visitors a fine selection of shops and restaurants Romsey Abbey or the home of the Mountbatten family at Broadlands. The National Trust s Mottisfont Abbey is well worth a day out. Alternatively take the short drive to the New Forest ideal for keen walkers and cyclists.
