Accommodation overview: Llangain Farmhouse enjoys one of the most spectacular locations imaginable. Situated on a hill overlooking the Wye Valley, you can literally stand awe struck at this utterly magical view. With over 250 years of history this is a holiday home that comes highly recommended with traditional features throughout, including beams, thick walls and three woodburning stoves. The house has been restored using local craftsmen and materials (such as Herefordshire Oak) to create a one off property. The cottage can sleep up to 12 as there is an additional barn for an extra two people. We see this as a wonderful converted farmhouse with a location that is unparalled.ACCOMMODATION Farmhouse (sleeps 6/8, 4 bedrooms) Entrance to Living Room with wood burning stove, two sofas (one a sofa bed*) plus armchairs, large TV with integral DVD/CD player. Newton Lodge is a detached Victorian cottage in the small hamlet of Welsh Newton Common, just four miles from Monmouth. The cottage can sleep twelve people in five bedrooms (four doubles - one with an ensuite, and one twin room with two additional pull out beds). The cottage also contains two family bathrooms. The rest of the accommodation is made up of a kitchen with a dining area, a separate dining room with an open fire, a drawing room with an open fire, a reading room and a TV room. Outside the cottage is off road parking for seven cars, bike storage and a large enclosed garden with games, furniture and a barbecue. There is also a hot tub. With three double bedrooms (two with en-suite facilities), two twin rooms (one with en-suite) and two family rooms (one with en-suite) as well as a family bathroom in the main house and a further 3 double rooms (1 with en-suite and two sharing a "Jack & Jill" en-suite shower room), and 1 twin with en-suite in the annexe, this cottage can sleep twenty four people in comfort and style. The main house kitchen boasts an AGA, a pantry and a dining area, whilst the rest of the main house accommodation is comprised of a dining room, a sun room and three sitting rooms, one of which has a woodburner. Guests also have access to a games room with pool table, and an indoor heated swimming pool with sauna, Jacuzzi, gym & shower area. Outside the cottage is off road parking for seven cars and private use of a large enclosed mature garden with trampoline and a swing, all with garden furniture, plus a built-in BBQ with seating area and use of an orchard. Accommodation overview: Whites Farm Barn is absolutely stunning and probably one of the best barn conversions we have seen. Set deep within the countryside the property offers a real countryside experience and yet is within a convenient distance of one of the regions most delightful market towns - Ledbury. Internally the barn is presented in a welcoming and attractive open plan style, with large open spaces displaying the oak beams and original 'cross windows'. These period features mix beautifully with some contemporary touches such as underfloor heating. There is also the added benefit of a ground floor bedroom and bathroom. Externally the barn has an enclosed garden to the front and enjoys a lovely location situated down a quite lane within a little hamlet. The owner provides a super welcome basket (and maybe a little homemade Perry!!) and informs us that you can now order Waitrose deliveries to your door. This is an excellent choice for those who like quality, space and something a little historic.
