This is a wonderful area for mountain biking bird watching (Red kites abound) and walking with some lovely walks straight from the door or along the nearby Glyndwr's Way Cistercian Way and Offa's Dyke. Just a mile away (much less by footpath) is Builth Wells golf club where visitors may play at a reduced rate and the reservoirs of the beautiful Elan Valley are popular for fishing cycling and picnicking. A spectacular (daily) Red kite feeding station craft and pottery makers Welsh Royal Crystal and the book town of Hay on Wye are all close by and for children there is a nearby play barn and adventure park indoor activity centre cycle hire and pony trekking. The dolphins of Cardigan Bay golden sands of Llansteffan and city of Cardiff are all within easy day trips. Shops pubs and restaurants are 1½ miles.

Set in the grounds of the owners' country house it is a short drive from the book town of Hay on Wye Brecon's cathedral leisure centre and theatre the Royal Welsh Showground at Builth Wells and Rhayader's spectacular Red kite feeding station and the chained library and Mappa Mundi at Hereford Cathedral (37 miles). The Gower's golden beaches are within a day trip. Mountain biking pony trekking canoeing golf and fishing are all found nearby as are numerous farm shops and eating places. Shops and a wide choice of pubs 4 miles.
