Sweffling is a pretty village situated midway between the medieval market town of Framlingham with its Castle and Saxmundham which has the benefit of a railway station with direct trains to London's Liverpool Street. Accommodation overview: One of three cottages in a row that sleep up to a total of 12 Westleton is a pretty village midway between Aldeburgh and Southwold with the coast at Dunwich only two and a half miles away. It is centred around a large green and is one of the most popular places to stay on the Heritage Coast as it is an ideal base for the beach or for Minsmere, as well as the coastal heaths and forests. There are two good pubs, a restaurant and well-stocked village store-cum-post office all in the village centre. Much of the area around the village is accessible open heath or mixed woodland. The Ship Inn serves good meals as does the Beach Cafe which is well known for its fish and chips - enjoyed best on the beach. Dunwich adjoins Dingle Marshes Nature Reserve, Dunwich Heath (cliff top is National Trust owned) and Minsmere RSPB is only three miles by foot. Southwold and Aldeburgh are both ten miles away.
