Accommodation overview: A newly renovated four bedroom holiday home in Dunwich which has been refurbished to the highest standards Dunwich with its intriguing past, which is revealed in the local museum (across the road from the house), is a unique village offering peace and tranquillity. There are also the remains of a leper chapel by the church and a monastery. The beach is shingle but at low tide it is partly sandy. There are many scenic pathways across the heath to the coastguard cottages and national trust tearooms. Amongst the numerous trails leading from Dunwich is one to Walberswick and on to Southwold via the ferry or bridge. Accommodation overview: A very convenient location where local amenities are never far away Reydon is only divided from Southwold by Buss Creak, a narrow stretch of water where the fishing boats (busses) of long ago used to tie up. All properties therefore has easy access to beaches and town centre amenities by road and various footpaths. Reydon boasts two well-stocked village stores, as well as the Randolph Hotel which has an excellent restaurant and good locals' bar. Whimbrel Cottage is in a most convenient and popular location where all the important local attractions are never far away. Accommodation overview: Flint Cottage is situated to the southern end of the High Street, a stones throw from the Beach, shops and the Yacht Club. Aldeburgh and the surrounding area has inspired many authors and poets in the past but the most famous son of the town is Benjamin Britten who founded the Aldeburgh Music Festival which now has worldwide acclaim and is held every year in June at Snape Maltings. Fishermen still pull their colourful boats up on the shingle beach and sell fresh fish from the picturesque huts. The wide, mainly Georgian high street has many attractive buildings whilst the seafront properties all have commanding views of the beach and the North Sea. Boating is popular on the nearby Alde estuary where a large variety of yachts can be seen at summer weekends. Accommodation overview: An ideal getaway - all on one level with conservatory and decking at the rear Southwold Denes - Southwold Denes stretches from Gun Hill to the harbour's mouth and acts as a vital sea defence for the town. Suffolk Coast and Heaths (to whom our customer's £1 booking donation goes to) are working with several agencies to restore and maintain the important area. It is the home of skylarks and little terns (please be careful not to disturb the nests) and the habitat of sea holly, sea pea and bird's foot trefoil to name a few.
