Peak Hill Cottage is set in very quiet woodland, where deer, rabbits and other wildlife roam and is next to two farms, one selling organic produce. The local towns of Saxmundham and Leiston are a short drive away as is the train station with services into Ipswich and London.
For food lovers, there are many top quality restaurants, good family friendly tearooms, cafes, pubs, excellent farm shops and fish stalls within an easy drive.
The location is ideal for trips to the Heritage Coastal towns between Orford, Aldeburgh and the quintessential seaside resort of Southwold. Nearby are local castles and bird reserves, whilst further afield is the historic Sutton Hoo. There are many rural walks and local cycle hire and within a 15 -20 minute drive there is relaxed shopping at Snape Maltings or centres for golf, swimming, boating, tennis and world championship crabbing.

Accommodation overview: The Horseshoes is a charming early 1700s Suffolk cottage ten minutes drive to Southwold beach. Set in an extensive garden it has a beautifully situated meadow (alongside the property's ancient orchard) Uggeshall is a quiet village which is just a ten minute drive to the blue Flag Pier beach at Southwold. Other attractions nearby are Africa Alive at Kessingland, the market town of Beccles, RSPB Minsmere, Dunwich. The medieval city of Norwich with its castle cathedral cinemas restaurants and excellent shopping is 26 miles. The Horseshoes is a charming early 1700s Suffolk cottage ten minutes drive to Southwold beach. Set in an extensive garden it has a beautifully situated meadow (alongside the property's ancient orchard) where the grass is mown to create your own private cricket pitch with pavilion included! Accommodation overview: Milliner's was a hat maker's shop where, once upon a time, 'head attire' was designed and made for the lady folk of Woodbridge. Woodbridge is a historic town of great character situated on the River Deben. Its charm lies in the many narrow picturesque streets of fine houses and cottages, the river, a popular marina, the busy boatyards, the famous Tide Mill, the ancient buildings around the Market Hill and the fine Church. Woodbridge has an interesting shopping centre, with many specialist shops, good restaurants and pubs, together with art galleries, antique shops, town museum, Suffolk Horse museum, an excellent cinema/theatre, large recreation areas and an indoor heated swimming pool.
