Rippleway is a delightful detached holiday home set in a very secluded position. The accommodation is surrounded by a third of an acre of garden, at the end of a private road in the conservation village of Walberswick. The village boasts two superb pubs, the Anchor and the Bell, both a few minutes' walk away from the cottage. Adnams fine Ales and excellent menus incorporating seasonal, local produce are served in both. There are two tearooms, craft/gift shops around the village green. The acres of heathland and marshland around Walberswick are protected as an Area of Outstanding National Beauty.
The seaside town of Southwold is within walking distance along one of the many beautiful walks in and around Walberswick. The sweeping beach is merely a quarter of a mile from the house. A major attraction for children in the summer is crabbing by the harbour. The name Walberswick is believed to be derived from the Saxon Waldbert or Walhbert probably a landowner. Once a thriving port trading from the 13th century right up to World War 1. St. Andrews Church is at the top of the village, the size of the ruins demonstrating how wealthy and large the parish once was. In fact this was the village's third church, built at the end of the 15th century. There is a well-stocked village store within walking distance.
London is approximately a two hour drive. The nearest train station to the property is at Darsham which is 25 minutes drive away.

The house is perched on the cliff at Sizewell a mile or so from the power station and has great sea views. Sizewell is a small hamlet on the coast approximately 5 miles south of Aldeburgh. There are shops, pubs and restaurant here as well as at Leiston approximately 2 miles away. The area has something for everyone - for birdwatchers there's the RSPB reserve at Minsmere, North Warren and Havergate Island, 18-hole golf courses at Thorpeness, Aldeburgh and Woodbridge, boating, tennis at Thorpeness and sailing at Aldeburgh. The Horseshoes is a charming early 1700s Suffolk cottage ten minutes drive to Southwold beach. Set in an extensive garden it has a beautifully situated meadow (alongside the property's ancient orchard) where the grass is mown to create your own private cricket pitch with pavilion included! It is surrounded by farm land with footpaths leading you on excellent walks or cycle routes. The cottage is oak beamed throughout with some low beams and doors reminiscent of Alice in Wonderland doors.
