Accommodation overview: Balmore Cottage has been recently renovated and beautifully refurbished to make a lovely holiday home in the centre of Southwold Pier Area - It is often said that nothing changes in Southwold. However, the much acclaimed pier was rebuilt in 2001 and was the first to be constructed in England in over 50 years. It now fits in well with the painted beach huts, promenade and colourful flowerbeds. There is a shop, cafes and an alternative amusement arcade there. The selection of properties hereabouts makes it an ideal location to stay in Southwold if you require quiet accommodation that is also close to the beach, town centre and the many footpaths across the marshes leading you to the less explored areas of the town. Accommodation overview: A delightful simple cottage just for two people in the seaside village of Dunwich. Dunwich is an unspoilt coastal village with a mainly shingle beach. The Ship Inn serves good meals as does the Beach Cafe which is well known for its fish and chips - enjoyed best on the beach. Dunwich adjoins Dingle Marshes Nature Reserve, Dunwich Heath (cliff top is National Trust owned) and Minsmere RSPB is only three miles by foot. Southwold and Aldeburgh are both ten miles away. Trains and buses can be found four miles away at Darsham. Suffolk Coast and Heaths (to whom our customer's £1 booking donation goes) are working with several agencies to restore and maintain the important area. Accommodation overview: Beautifully furnished property in convenient location for Southwold and the Heritage Coast Reydon is only divided from Southwold by Buss Creek, a narrow stretch of water where the fishing boats (busses) of long ago used to tie up. All properties therefore have easy access to the beaches and the town centre amenities by road or the various footpaths. Reydon boasts two well-stocked village stores, as well as the Randolph Hotel, which has an excellent restaurant and good friendly bar.
