Accommodation overview: Peacefully situated in the village of Healaugh in the heart of Swaledale, this character cottage has parts reputedly dating back to the 1600s with a cosy beamed lounge and some low doorways. The cottage has been updated and extended over the years, and in 2010 gained a top end 3* VisitBritain grading, providing well equipped accommodation for couples and families alike. Set away from the road with extensive views front and back the cottage benefits from a delightful enclosed south facing garden to the side with patio which is perfect for enjoying in the summer. A stove in the lounge provides extra warmth when the weather is colder, making this cottage an ideal choice at any time of the year. Accommodation overview: Ground Stones has been recently converted from a traditional long barn into luxury self catering cottages. Accommodating eight people, the cottage is bursting with character - exposed beams, log burning stove (starter pack of logs provided!), internal exposed stone walls and views to die for! Ground Stones has an adjoining cottage (Roof Stones 218013) that sleeps six - perfect for larger families, offering privacy with en suite facilities to the master rooms. They can be booked together to accommodate 14 guests. Each cottage overlooks a private rock garden with the facility of a fully enclosed south facing garden, complete with fruit trees, barbecue and a charming arbour bench! There is also a games room with pool table, darts and board games.
