Montgomery town boasts a ruined 13th century castle (free entry and a perfect place for a picnic with spectacular views!); the Old Bell Museum of local history; two excellent tea rooms with delis; pub and Dragon Hotel bar; The Chequers Michelin starred restaurant and small supermarket (stocking local produce) with ATM; organic and homemade produce available at the Thursday and Saturday morning markets. Take a look at the ‘Taste Montgomery’ website for details of Tasting Trails in and around the area, sampling many of the delights of local produce.
