Montgomery town boasts a ruined 13th century castle (free entry and a perfect place for a picnic with spectacular views!); the Old Bell Museum of local history; two excellent tea rooms with delis; pub and Dragon Hotel bar; The Chequers Michelin starred restaurant and small supermarket (stocking local produce) with ATM; organic and homemade produce available at the Thursday and Saturday morning markets.
