It is situated in a very quiet conservation area of the 11th century village of Halford, which contains many Grade II listed houses and a beautiful Saxon Church. The location of Halford makes an ideal starting point. Halford itself is situated on the Fosse Way (A429), at the northern end of the Cotswolds, eight miles from Stratford-upon-Avon (birthplace of Shakespeare and home of the Royal Shakespeare Theatre) and 14 miles from Warwick with its famous Warwick Castle. The old market town of Shipston on Stour is a few minutes' drive away and contains many shops, pubs and restaurants
