The Croft is a detached Herefordshire country house with additional annexe set in 6 acres of grounds near to the village of Peterchurch in Herefordshire. With three double bedrooms (two with en-suite facilities), two twin rooms (one with en-suite) and two family rooms (one with en-suite) as well as a family bathroom in the main house and a further 3 double rooms (1 with en-suite and two sharing a "Jack & Jill" en-suite shower room), and 1 twin with en-suite in the annexe, this cottage can sleep twenty four people in comfort and style. The main house kitchen boasts an AGA, a pantry and a dining area, whilst the rest of the main house accommodation is comprised of a dining room, a sun room and three sitting rooms, one of which has a woodburner. Guests also have access to a games room with pool table, and an indoor heated swimming pool with sauna, Jacuzzi, gym & shower area. Outside the cottage is off road parking for seven cars and private use of a large enclosed mature garden with trampoline and a swing, all with garden furniture, plus a built-in BBQ with seating area and use of an orchard. With so many fantastic facilities on site, you may never want to leave the grounds, however The Croft is also ideally placed to explore the glorious Herefordshire countryside as well as the towns of Hay on Wye and Hereford.

Accommodation overview: Somerford Cottage is a quintessential English country cottage set in the heart of a beautiful and classic Cotswold village, itself located in the southern Cotswolds. The property, which has a history dating back hundreds of years, was once part of the village's Manor House, offers lovely large rooms throughout, all presented in an attractive and stylish fashion, with careful attention given to mixing contemporary furniture with traditional cottage features. Of particular appeal is the spacious living area, which is light, airy and inviting. As one would expect with a property of such history there are delightful, mature gardens, which customers can enjoy (see below*), in fact the owners are able to offer seasonal 'home grown produce' to customers - wonderful!! Locally, the village of Great Somerford is a thriving community with an excellent local shop and pub both within a 5 minute walk. LOCATIONGreat Somerford (part of 'The Somerfords) is a traditional village situated in the southern Cotswolds, deep in the heart of Wiltshire's Clay Vale, sandwiched between the limestone belt of the Cotswolds and the chalklands of the Malborough Downs. Amongst a few 'claims to fame' is the fact that the village is believed to have the country's oldest allotment with notes of a private growing dating back to 1809! Nearby is the market town of Malmesbury, which has a beautiful church, with Tetbury. 15 mins drive, an antique collectors heaven a little further away. Westonbirt Arboretum, with its amazing walks and forests is within 2o minutes drive. Bath, in particular, is a convenient drive away as are a wide variety of Cotswold attractions and attractive villages.

The cottage, which is over 200 years old and was once the lodge to the Lower Moor Manor, has a wealth of period features, including original flagstone and wooden flooring and wood burning stove. The owners have cleverly mixed old and new to make it a very charming home. There is a lovely garden and super views to the south. The property is located just 15 mins level walk from Hay centre with its shops, cafes and restaurants. Situated on the edge of the hillside it looks out towards some stunning English countryside, for miles and miles. Internally this holiday cottage is very cosy and traditional: secluded, low ceilings plus wood burning stoves all adding to the appeal of this 200 year old building. The cottage is surrounded by a private garden and fields. This cottage is astonishing for its view alone but also offers superb value for money. The owners also have another property about 100 yards away down the hill, ideal for slightly larger groups, called Llangain.
