Latterly owned by Lady Baillie the last private owner of the castle who restored the castle to its current splendour. It became a weekend playground for the rich and famous London s high society . Leisure facilities: guests have use of the leisure facilities at the neighbouring Mecure Hotel including a swimming pool. All guests staying in the cottages will be able to access the castle and grounds subject to availability for their entire stay including Knights Realm adventure playground somewhere for the children to run and play. The yew tree maze with its underworld grotto of shells and mythical beasts. Climb Maidens Tower and enjoy the falconry displays. Amenities: ample parking. The Royal Military canal is nearby where the banks provide many delightful walks through the lovely countryside and for a slightly different day out, France is only 35minutes away via Eurotunnel from nearby Folkestone.
