Accommodation overview: Ellerslie Cottage is an annexe to imposing Ellerslie House that sits in spectacular parkland grounds, incorporating a swimming pool, tennis court, playground, a maze, an orchard and sweeping lawns down to a lake. Four friendly Alpacas live by the lake too - firm favourites with everyone! It is situated mid-way between Cranbrook and Hawkhurst - Cranbrook has some superb specialist shops, pubs and restaurants and Hawkhurst has a great independent cinema, so there is much to enjoy right on your doorstep. The nearby gardens at Sissinghurst and Pashley Manor are well worth a visit and the seaside is an easy drive. Trains for London (1hr) from Staplehurst 8 miles. As it is a Bed & Breakfast establishment in summer, all seven bedrooms have TVs and modern en-suite bathrooms except one which has use of the family bath and shower rooms.
