This is a perfect base for visiting the many castles, gardens and National Trust properties easily reached within a short drive. Joan's Cottage is just up above the famous 11th century Parish Church - and close to the town centre and beach. The Royal Military canal is nearby where the banks provide many delightful walks through the lovely countryside and for a slightly different day out, France is only 35minutes away via Eurotunnel from nearby Folkestone.
