Accommodation overview: One of two attractive semi-detached cottages at the heart of a working soft fruit farm - Innishfree is named after a much loved family horse. The owners, who live in the main farmhouse further up the farm drive, keep South American Paso Fino horses that you can meet. The nearby village - with three pubs! - is just at the top of the hill and as the farm is right in the middle of the Weald of Kent you are perfectly placed to visit many attractions including National Trust properties - Sissinghurst Castle Gardens, Ightham Mote and Bodiam Castle to name just three, plus Leeds Castle, The Hop Farm, Bluewater , local vineyards, lots of great country walks and there are three golf courses close by too - so something for everyone! Accommodation overview: Ellerslie Cottage is an annexe to imposing Ellerslie House that sits in spectacular parkland grounds, incorporating a swimming pool, tennis court, playground, a maze, an orchard and sweeping lawns down to a lake. Four friendly Alpacas live by the lake too - firm favourites with everyone! It is situated mid-way between Cranbrook and Hawkhurst - Cranbrook has some superb specialist shops, pubs and restaurants and Hawkhurst has a great independent cinema, so there is much to enjoy right on your doorstep. The nearby gardens at Sissinghurst and Pashley Manor are well worth a visit and the seaside is an easy drive. Trains for London (1hr) from Staplehurst 8 miles.
