The property is situated in the hamlet of Stone Street, a 10 minute drive (4.5 miles) from the town of Sevenoaks, and a 10 minute drive to the M25 exit 5. It is 10 minutes from the M20 exit 2.
The area provides a perfect place to stay for walkers and visitors to National Trust properties. Ightham Mote is within walking distance through lavender fields and nearby are Chartwell, Knole, Quebec House, Stoneacre and Emmetts Garden. Bluewater Shopping Centre is 30 minutes' drive away. There are three restaurant/pubs, the Snail which is within walking distance, the Plough at Ivyhatch and the Chaser at Shipbourne, all serving very good food.

Accommodation overview: For nearly 600 years the Nevill family has owned land in and around Birling - a quiet little village located in An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty near the county town of Maidstone. Birling Manor, built by the Hon Rev William Nevill in the 1830's was just across the valley from Birling House - which was a home for his son. Unfortunately the Manor was destroyed by fire in 1917 and so only Birling House now remains - sensitively renovated by the current owners and the penthouse apartment definitely has the wow! factor.
