Enjoy lovely walks along country lanes or to the village inn which is a 5 minutes stroll and offers a range of good food. There is much to see and do in the area the world famous designer outlet at Bicester Village is a 10 minutes drive the Cotswolds with its picturesque villages Warwick Castle Waddesdon Manor Blenheim Palace and numerous National Trust properties and Gardens Silverstone Henley for its Regatta Oxford with its spires and much more. Bicester Hotel Golf Club and Spa are only a short drive. Even a day trip to London is very accessible on the train. In the evenings enjoy a game of croquet on the lawn see the resident Alpacas in the adjoining field or enjoy a glass of wine in the attractive gardens. Outside: guests in both properties are invited to enjoy these generous shared enclosed gardens with pond and stream. Use of BBQ hut available. Amenities: ample parking. Accommodation overview: Hillside Cottage is a charming character cottage, situated in an absolutely beautiful Cotswolds village, about 3 miles from the popular market town of Chipping Norton. The cottage, which is built in traditional stone, enjoys an elevated and very peaceful position overlooking rolling countryside with nothing but trees, village roof tops and fields in the distance! The village has a weekend farm shop which sells good quality local produce. The cottage is totally detached down a quiet track with off-street parking and a wonderful private garden. Inside, the cottage really is a haven of olde England, boasting antique furniture, period beams, an open fire in the sitting room with many books and an ever popular AGA. In our opinion this cottage offers good value for money in a truly idyllic spot!Get local, organic food delivered to your door including vegetables, eggs, ice cream, yoghurt, home made bread and cakes and ready prepared home made meals! Obviously, many of the Cotswodls favourite locations such as Burford and Stow on the Wold nearby too. Slightly further afield, are Oxford and Stratford upon Avon, both comfortably within half an hour drive!
