Accommodation overview: Gleed Cottage is a very cosy holiday cottage set in the heart of the divine village of Naunton, itself located just 8 mins from the market town of Stow on the Wold. The cottage has a wonderfully warm and welcoming feel throughout, particularly the ground floor where there is a large inglenook fireplace with wood burner, flagstone floor and beams. The cottage is located in a very quiet spot, at the end of a traditional terrace of cottages and set back from the main village lane. There is a small yet private south facing garden with table and chairs. The village is one of the Cotswold's finest with some classic buildings and houses, a very popular village pub and some superb walks from your front door. This is THE quintessential cottage for two to four people and just perfect for a rural getaway!ACCOMMODATIONLiving Room, classical feel with flagstone floor, wood burning stove inside an inglenook fireplace, two sofas, flatscreen TV and DVD player. There is much to see and do in the area the world famous designer outlet at Bicester Village is a 10 minutes drive the Cotswolds with its picturesque villages Warwick Castle Waddesdon Manor Blenheim Palace and numerous National Trust properties and Gardens Silverstone Henley for its Regatta Oxford with its spires and much more. Local InformationSomerton is delightful village steeped in history dating back hundreds of years with mentions in the Domesday Book and also links to William The Conqueror after the Battle of Hastings. The church in particular (a Grade One listed building) is relatively famous in local circles for its historical significance. Somerton is no more than 15 mins outside Woodstock, the very popular Oxfordshire market town and just 15 miles from the centre of Oxford. The village also enjoys superb travel links with Bicester train station (to London Marylebone) 10 mins drive away or Junction 10 of the M40 no more than 3 miles away. The village sits on the northern side of the Oxfordshire Cotswolds with the River Cherwell and Oxford Canal both meandering through the edge of the village and just moments from this holiday cottage. The meadows at the river are absolutely perfect for evening 'sun-downers'. There are many walks to choose from, right from your door. The very famous and very popular Bicester Shopping Outlet Centre (or Bicester Village as it is called) is 10 mins away if shopping is your thing. There are a variety of good pubs in the locality, but none in the village. Of particular note is The Falkland Arms in Great Tew, one of the prettiest spots imaginable.

Internally the cottage is presented to a high standard with attention given to the 'living area' and the bedrooms/bathrooms in particular. The bedrooms, with three bathrooms, are all a good size, while the top floor 'suite' offers extra space and views towards the Cotswold Hills.
