Accommodation overview: Pheasant Cottage is a fabulous cottage set in the gorgeous Cotswold village of Old Minster Lovell. Previously a single storey barn, the property has been converted to provide a very comfortable standard of self catering accommodation ideal for a family or group friends who are looking for a quaint and peaceful setting. Located up a little gravel track and surrounded by open fields in three directions as you can imagine there are lovely views to enjoy - particularly from your terrace area which is real sun trap. For those who want to sit and sample some quintessential English scenes you can either stroll to the village cricket pitch (a safe distance away!) or the delightful and popular Swan pub. For the more active there are excellent walks directly from your door including the Old Minster Lovell Hall (English Heritage). The cottage is attached the owner's home and sits within 3 acres of gardens which roll down towards the River Windrush. Internally the cottage is a spacious and charming holiday home with many character features including old timbers and exposed walls and attractive furnishings. The cottage enjoys it's own private and enclosed garden with access to the owners' gardens as well access to an indoor swimming pool and tennis court* and fishing on the river. Locally is the beautiful village which has a small hotel / pub and some tremendous walks into the countryside. It is approached by a flight of paving stone steps which lead to French windows overlooking its private patio and garden. The property, which is Seventeenth Century and Grade II listed, has a history that describes it as once belonging to the 'Village Alehouse Keeper'! Today it is has a very welcoming feel with many period features including a large and beautiful inglenook fireplace which is simply gorgeous and oak beams - all very romantic!
