Accommodation overview: Lane Farm House in Shipton under Wychwood is a very large house set in the midst of the lovely village of Shipton under Wychwood. A 14th Century rambling farmhouse, with accommodation for 16 people, with potential space for more if required. Internally the property is presented in a traditional and basic style with large living space ideal for party get-togethers. The property is clean and welcoming and is certainly very good value for money given the size of the accommodation. There is the ability to take additional beds within the bedrooms (to exceed 16 people) and all bedrooms can be single beds or double, although we would like to add that the seating and dining seating will be tight! The enormous main kitchen has granite tops, an Aga and large dining table. Nice and bright sitting room with a wood burning stove, (logs available), lots of bedrooms each very individual, and 'Eagles Nest' at the top of the house. Accommodation overview: The Den, a converted barn on Shaken Oak Farm, is a wonderful holiday cottage for those who wish to get away from it all and recharge the batteries. Situated in the original Wychwood Forest - a Royal hunting ground - The Den is in a truly tranquil setting, amongst fields and woods, and yet close to Woodstock and the famous Blenheim Palace as well as Oxford. The property is well cared for by the owners and is an ideal 'bolt-hole' to relax peacefully. There are many excellent walks all around and yet you are conveniently located for a wide selection of Cotswolds locations. The local pub, The Royal Oak at Ramsden which was voted the Good Pub Guide's Country Pub of the Year 2011, is just a mile away - a delightful stroll through the woods and fields. We as well as everyone else highly recommend this pub! ACCOMMODATION: (all on one level )French windows lead into the Sitting / Dining / Kitchen area. Accommodation overview: The Stables at Edgerly Farm is a very sweet and cosy holiday property set in an extremely peaceful location within the Oxfordshire Cotswolds. The farm is located at the end of a long drive and is the set of buildings for miles, with only fields surrounding. The property has been converted from part of the stables and provides very comfortable accommodation for two people. The accommodation, which is upstairs, is mainly open plan with a separate bedroom/ensuite and has all the modern facilities to make your self cateing holiday a very relaxing one. Our visit was only interrupted by the sound of tweeting birds, swallows and the odd horse, so a rural retreat this most certainly is. Superb value and perfect for getting away from life's 'hustle and bustle. Village pub in Clanfield is approx 1mile level walk.ACCOMMODATION. (Entrance is up approx 11 steps)Entrance through to open living space with lovely views across the farm and countryside.
