Accommodation overview: Landgate Cottage is a well located holiday cottage situated moments from the Market Square in Stow. The cottage is a very good size for four people, but has the advantage of an extra bed if a fifth person wishes to travel*. The living room is particularly attractive with great views across the well tended (but of course!) allotments and fields beyond. The cottage also has two bathrooms which also make it suitable for two couples just as much for a family. Accommodation overview: Rectory Cottage, Alvescot is a truly classic Cotswolds cottage built in traditional stone under a Cotswold tile roof, but presented in a beautifully cool and contemporary style that makes it a stunning option for groups or families of up to 10 people. Set overlooking fields and surrounded by period Cotswold properties this delightful holiday cottage offers a very high standard of self catering accommodation. Internally, the owners have created a stunning home, which while contemporary it retains a wealth of period features that give a real sense of warmth and 'welcome'. The accommodation, which is set over three floors and with good size rooms throughout, has many period features through out. Including flagstone flooring, beams and mullion windows but of particular appeal is the kitchen which is, as they say, 'where the heart is': a gorgeous light room with a vaulted ceiling and Aga. When we visited the property we came away with the wow factor very much in our minds, we're confident that you'll feel just the same when you walk through the door too! Literally cosy by name and cosy by nature this little cottage is a perfect hideaway for two people looking to come to the Cotswolds for a traditional experience. The cottage is located down a little, no through lane with typical Cotswolds properties to see. Further down the lane is the Chipping Norton church and a small pathway into the town. Internally the cottage is presented in a simple and basic standard; clean and very functional and just ideal for a couple looking a good value getaway, and this is reflected in the attractive price for such a great location. The cottage is fully equipped and also enjoys a spacious feel for two people. The town itself boast a vast array of shops, antique shops plus restaurants, cafes and country pubs. In addition there is a very popular theatre which hosts a wide variety of touring productions. Within a short drive are a selection of Cotswolds attractions, including The Rollright Stones, Chastelton House, Rousham Hall and Blenheim Palace. Obviously, many of the Cotswodls favourite locations such as Burford and Stow on the Wold nearby too. Slightly further afield, are Oxford and Stratford upon Avon, both comfortably within half an hour drive!

The cottage enjoys a view towards the village's 'green' and hills beyond. The property also benefits from its own private courtyard which is ideal for 'sundowners'! Within Milton (and its neighbouring village Shipton under Wychwood) there are good shops, pubs and a library with internet access all within reasonable walking distance. The cottage is also conveniently located as it is only three miles north of Burford aswell as other Cotswolds' attractions. This is an excellent location to choose as your holiday cottage.
