Bryn Tanat Hall offers an unrivalled location for a perfect country holiday getaway, reunion and celebration - its south-facing sunny position overlooks the terraced gardens which are magnificently landscaped and ideal for outside entertaining. The gardens extend to 10 acres of woodland and parkland with goal posts, croquet lawn, boules and enough room to pitch a golf ball.
Locally there are a number of good restaurants, two convenience stores, a petrol station and a post office. Its geographical position makes it ideal for the exploration of mid and north Wales, Shropshire and Cheshire. The market towns of Oswestry and Welshpool are less than a 20-minute drive and the medieval town of Shrewsbury and walled city of Chester are less than 40 minutes away. Days out locally may include visiting three great NT properties: Powis Castle, Chirk Castle and Erddig, a day at Bangor-on-Dee or Chester races, a trip on a steam train or canal boat. A little further afield is Snowdon or the west Wales coastline with its fabulous sandy beaches. Walking, horse riding, clay pigeon shooting and golf are available locally, and Bryn Tanat has rights to 1 mile of fishing on the River Tanat as it flows through its grounds.
