Accommodation overview: This delightful Lakeland cottage, which was converted from a former barn adjoining Low Hall, enjoys a peaceful and idyllic setting in the picturesque North Western Lakes. Low Hall lies between Cockermouth and Lorton in the most tranquil location, surrounded by woodland and open fields with views to the Lakeland fells. There is an abundance of wildlife, including deer, badgers, red squirrels, hares, buzzards and other birds of prey, and over 40 different bird species have been recorded. A stream, Little Sandy Beck runs through the cottage garden with a bridge into the woodland beyond. There is a bridleway from the house and a beautiful riverside walk along the river Cocker to Lorton and Cockermouth.

A multi award-winning exceptional Grade I listed fortified manor dating back to the 1400s that has undergone extensive renovation, bringing the two embattled Peele towers back into use for the first time in more than 300 years. Blencowe Hall sits on a bluff above the small river Petteril and is encompassed by its own gardens, grounds and fields incorporating access to the river. It has views to the nearby Lakeland fells and across the rolling Eden Valley.
Blencowe Hall won an English Heritage Construction Conservation Award which was accorded to the 20 most outstanding projects undertaken with their supervision in 2008, an Eden District Design Award, the NWDA Conservation Award and the RICS National Conservation Award. It is 5 Star Gold Award rated by Visit England.
Guests staying at Blencowe Hall can enjoy brown trout fishing along the river, arrange for clay pigeon shooting within the grounds or take a cycle out for the day along the C2C which runs through Blencowe village. There are some great walks and runs in the local area.
Blencowe Hall is just over a mile's walk from the village of Greystoke which is dominated by Greystoke Castle and its 3,000 acre estate, accessible for public walks. Greystoke has a heated village swimming pool, a local post office/shop, a cycle cafe and a 6th century coaching inn serving meals (The Boot and Shoe).
Blencowe Hall is on the edge of the Lake District, about four miles from the Lake District National Park and seven miles from Ullswater. Close at hand is the Aira Force National Trust waterfall offering a scenic walk up to the peak of Gowbarrow Fell.

To the north of the village are quiet country lanes and villages which are great for cycling. Nord Vue Barn, as the name implies, was an 18th century barn which the owners converted to an extremely spacious holiday cottage, with the best of traditional and modern features. Old Corner Barn has a spacious open plan living area on the first floor and bedrooms on the ground floor, while The Stables is ground floor accommodation suitable for the disabled, with wheelchair access and a wet room. The owners have furnished and equipped them to a high standard to provide superior self catering accommodation. Greenah Crag is situated close to Troutbeck, between Keswick and Penrith in a lovely rural location, yet only 10 minute drive from the M6. This central location is ideal, with Ullswater to the South, Keswick to the East and the Caldbeck Fells to the North, all are within a 20 minute drive and offer beautiful scenery and great walks.

Accommodation overview: This impressive detached property was converted from the original farmhouse and barn which originally housed both the farming family and livestock, into a beautiful 4 bedroom home. Moss Garth has a slightly elevated position in Braithwaite with tremendous views from most rooms, it also has the benefit of a good sized garden and a garage. The village of Braithwaite is a very popular place for walkers to stay because of its amenities, there are 2 pubs each serving food, 2 restaurants, a shop and of course fantastic walks from the doorstep, including Grisedale Pike and Causey Pike.
