Accommodation overview: The Bolt Hole is located in tranquil Ellenabeich, a beautiful historic conservation village on the Isle of Seil. The cottage is beautifully presented, with great attention to all detail and has been awarded 4* by the Scottish Tourist Board. The Bolt Hole is a mid terrace new build; however, it has been designed to be in keeping with the old traditional slate worker cottages which line the village. The main living area has a beamed ceiling and the open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area is light and spacious. The lounge area has a flat screen satellite TV/DVD and the twin room has an additional TV/DVD and a Sony PSI. The cottage is located only a short walk away from the sea. Originally the village blacksmiths cottage and forge, it dates back over 250 years. It has now been painstakingly restored and refurbished, blending historical and modern architecture and design to create a cottage of great charm and character with modern luxury. It holds a Visit Scotland 4 star grading. Downstairs the cottage retains its lovely old slate flooring, oak beams and large fireplace. The accommodation is open-plan, with a modern kitchen, a dining area with large solid wood table, and a deep leather suite set around the large fireplace in the lounge area. A beautifully presented double bedroom downstairs benefits from large picture windows overlooking the private patio area with the river beyond.
