Accommodation overview: These four holiday cottages on a 200 acre working farm and enjoy panoramic views over the Firth of Clyde to Ailsa Craig, the Mull of Kintyre and the Antrim mountains of Northern Ireland. 1/2 mile from the ancient fishing village of Ballantrae and 15 mins. drive from Girvan, a popular seaside town, the farm includes 1 1/2 miles of beach and seashore accessed by a short path from the main road below the cottages, perfect for walking and swimming. Local facilities include fishing, golf, sailing and horse-racing at Ayr. Shops and pub 1/2 mile.
The cottages stand near farm buildings at the top of a small incline, 300 metres from the road, with safely enclosed gardens to the rear for which garden furniture is provided.
The cottage interiors are bright and sunny, with simple furnishings in homely style, ideal for a relaxed family holiday.

Accommodation overview: Boasting spectacular uninterrupted views over the Firth of Clyde coast and across the sea to the Isle of Arran (pictured) this spacious and exceptionally well appointed property sits just one mile from the picturesque fishing harbour at Dunure. Keen walkers will delight in roaming the fabulous beaches and rugged coastline whilst golf enthusiasts can play the championship course at Turnberry (10 miles) or one of Ayrshire's many other courses. And at the end of a glorious day visitors can relax in the roof top hot tub watch a film in the home cinema/entertainment room or just simply enjoy the ever changing sea view.
There are some wonderful places to visit in the area including Culzean Castle and Country Park (NTS) – the castle boasts magnificent interiors even the kitchen block was designed by Robert Adams and the the 600 acres of grounds offer a diverse range of habitats for birds and wildlife. Also just 6 miles away is Alloway the setting for Burns Cottage the poet's birthplace. Ferries to the Isle of Arran are readily available as are day trips to Ireland departing from Stranraer. There is a shop and pub serving food in Dunure (1 mile) and the historic town of Ayr offers a good choice of restaurants and shopping 7 miles.

Accommodation overview: Pieces of 8 is a charming mid terraced cottage set in the pretty little village of Palnackie in the heart of Galloway. The accommodation is spread over three floors and is immaculately presented throughout with a cosy open fire in the lounge making this cottage a suitable choice regardless of the season. The name of the cottage is apposite as this area was notorious for its smuggling connections. Never more so than at nearby Balcary where the hotel was riddled with holes for secreting the contraband. Walter Scott wrote of the area that Few people take more enthusiastically to the free-trade than the men of the Solway Coast Take assurance that your Welcome Pack will be quite legal!

Accommodation overview: This lower "quarter villa" is part of an historic 100 year old red sandstone building in the heart of the small village of Skelmorlie. Completely refurbished and redecorated, the villa is tastefully presented and offers a lovely compact holiday home for singles or couples. There is a private garden area with garden furniture, secure entrance and private parking. A two minute stroll will have you surveying the magnificent Ayrshire coast in all its splendour.
The little village of Skelmorlie is centrally located and guests have an excellent base here from which to explore the delights of North Ayrshire. Largs, the popular seaside resort is a short drive away with its many amenities and sandy beaches. Ferries enable visitors to 'island hop' from Millport, Rothesay, Isle of Bute and Dunoon. Glasgow city centre is 35 miles away and there are excellent rail links from Wemyss Bay, 1 mile. A nearby riding school offers lessons for adults and children, there is a sailing school in Largs and golf is ever popular with many excellent courses in the area. Hotel and shops in the village.
