Offering comfortable accommodation and a natural garden backing onto fields it also boasts a lovingly created seashell garden near the patio. A 3 mile drive leads to the small harbour village of Port William where visitors will find shops a post office garage and hotel/restaurant. Pretty coastal ports the Isle of Whithorn and Garlieston and Galloway Forests are all well within reach whilst en route to Wigtown (famous for its bookshops) lies Bladnoch where visitors can enjoy riverside walks and tours of the distillery. Newton Stewart's supermarkets are 17 miles and Stranraer with ferries to Ireland is 22 miles. Fishing riding and golf are available nearby.

Local facilities include fishing, golf, sailing and horse-racing at Ayr. Shops and pub 1/2 mile. The cottages stand near farm buildings at the top of a small incline, 300 metres from the road, with safely enclosed gardens to the rear for which garden furniture is provided. The cottage interiors are bright and sunny, with simple furnishings in homely style, ideal for a relaxed family holiday.
