Accommodation overview: Granary Cottage, Swerford, is a delightful Cotswolds holiday cottage, located just outside an absolutely quintessential village, itself approximately five miles from the bustling market town of Chipping Norton. The property, which is attached to the owner's fabulous home, sits in a wonderful location, surrounded by completely unspoilt countryside and the large grounds of the farm (not working!) Internally, the cottage is furnished with some lovely antiques which give a lovely warm and welcoming feel when you walk in. Rooms are spacious and very comfortable and ideal for relaxing and recharging the batteries! ACCOMMODATION (all on one level, although not wheelchair friendly)Entrance through to dining areaDining Room with lovely table and four chairs, plus various pieces of attractive furniture. Access to private and enclosed gardenKitchen, well equipped with electric hob and oven, dishwasher, microwave, large fridge / freezer and washing machine. Living Room is a super large and welcoming room with some more lovely period furniture along with two sofas, electric fire, large TV, DVD player plus additional reclining chairs and views towards garden.Cloakroom with WC and washbasinBedroom, another large room with King Size double bed, wardrobes, chest of drawers, dressing table and Ensuite Bathroom with shower over, WC and washbasinThere is a Second Bedroom Suite which is a lovely and very large room with double bed, chest of drawers and wardrobe, plus ensuite bathroom with bath, WC and washbasin. This accessed through Granary Cottage, but is separate from the main cottage, please ask to explain more! This is charged at £100 per person per week or £50 per person per weekend.OutsideTo the rear of the property is a private, enclosed garden with table and chairs. Naturally around the house and the main building are nothing but fields!One Pet Welcome. Cot and High Chair available. Heating & Electricity included all year Underfloor heating thoughtout. Bed linen and towels included. Off street parking. Internet available.Friday Changeover please. Short Breaks welcome in low and mid season, and at short notice in high season please. Swerford is a picture postcard village set in the northern Cotswolds, a few miles from the famous Hook Norton village (famous for its award winning local brewery) and a short drive from the Cotswolds' highest town - Chipping Norton. The property is well placed for walking, but for the more adventurous, there are a host of attractions to choose from including Blenheim Palace at Woodstock (10 miles), Oxford, (20 miles), Warwick Castle (20 miles) Stratford upon Avon (20 miles) and many other locations within the Cotswolds. Accommodation overview: Hillside Cottage is a charming character cottage, situated in an absolutely beautiful Cotswolds village, about 3 miles from the popular market town of Chipping Norton. The cottage, which is built in traditional stone, enjoys an elevated and very peaceful position overlooking rolling countryside with nothing but trees, village roof tops and fields in the distance! The village has a weekend farm shop which sells good quality local produce. The cottage is totally detached down a quiet track with off-street parking and a wonderful private garden. Inside, the cottage really is a haven of olde England, boasting antique furniture, period beams, an open fire in the sitting room with many books and an ever popular AGA. In our opinion this cottage offers good value for money in a truly idyllic spot!Get local, organic food delivered to your door including vegetables, eggs, ice cream, yoghurt, home made bread and cakes and ready prepared home made meals! ACCOMMODATION: Entrance porch leading into hallway with antique furniture including a classic writing desk. Cloakroom with WC and washbasin. A welcoming Sitting Room with very comortable sofa and armchairs, beams, an open fire and fabulous art collection. Good sized Kitchen/Dining room with a new electric AGA, microwave (with oven and grill), dishwasher, fridge / freezer and washing machine, antique dining table in the bay window providing lovely Cotswold views.Upstairs: Bedroom One: spacious room with double bed, Ensuite bathroom with bath, WC and washbasin. Bedroom Two with double bed, Bedroom Three with single bed. Bathroom recently refurbished (2011) with walk-in shower, WC and washbasin.Heating and electricity included all year. Off-street parking for 2 cars. Starter pack of logs supplied, further logs available at cost from housekeeper. No pets. No Smokers. Sorry, no children under 10.
