Accommodation overview: BEAUTIFULLY REFURBISHED 17TH CENTURY FORMER MILKING PARLOUR The property whose name is Cornish for milking parlour nestles in a truly rural spot within the West Cornish countryside between Lostwithiel and Fowey in the village of Lanlivery. Close to the Cornish Wildlife Trust Nature Reserve and Helman Tor a picturesque rocky outcrop that is an undiscovered beauty spot with unspoilt country views. Perfect for walkers and dog owners of all abilities and ages with the well-known Saints Way and Wilderness Trail that cross the moor and countryside. Easily accessed from the property is the National Cycle Network with many off-road trails and quiet country lanes to enjoy. There is even a direct route to The Eden Project proclaimed as the Eighth Wonder of the World . The market town of Lostwithiel is close by with shops restaurants and pubs as well as Restormel Castle which overlooks the River Fowey a pleasant location for a picnic. Fowey Regatta week (August) is a popular event with competitive sailing events street carnival the Red Arrows display team and much more. The picturesque and unspoilt harbour of Charlestown is also worth a visit. Built in the early 19th century for the export of copper and china clay it is home to a collection of old ships which have been used in film projects and its Shipwreck and Heritage Centre has the largest UK collection of artifacts and treasure recovered from shipwrecks.
