Accommodation overview: With partial views of the coastline and out to sea, this charming former coastguard cottage is set in a slightly elevated position above the lovely old Cornish fishing village of Port Isaac with the advantage of on-site parking. One of a small row of double glazed cottages set in a quiet sheltered courtyard; it is just a couple of minutes walk down the hill to the picturesque harbour, famously known as the fictional setting of Doc Martin.
The front door opens to a useful entrance lobby with cloaks cupboard and an inner door leads directly into a fully fitted kitchen/diner with a Cornish slate floor and dining table and chairs arranged in one corner. To one side, an attractive warm and cosy sitting room has natural exposed stonework on one wall, a pine dresser and comfortable lounge seating arranged before the stone fireplace housing the multi fuel burner.
In one corner of the sitting room, cottage stairs lead directly up to a small first floor landing, a modern shower room W.C. with heated towel rail and two pleasantly furnished bedrooms each with a wash basin. There is a double bedroom and a master bedroom with the choice of a 6ft double or 3ft zip linked twin beds; both bedrooms have oblique views over the village, headland and sea.
From the latter, an unusual first floor French door opens to a stoutly built wooden bridge leading directly out to the enclosed rear garden partly terraced into the hillside with steps up to a sloping lawn and a decked patio with views over the cottage rooftops to the sea and cliffs. There is parking for one car directly outside the property and all the village amenities are a short walk down the steep hill where there are several good restaurants serving freshly caught fish and it is usually possible to watch the singers the Fishermans Friends perform on the quayside in summer evenings.
There is also a pub offering food and a supermarket at the top of the village and for a wider choice of amenities the market town of Wadebridge is about 9 miles. Port Isaac and Port Gaverne have small shingly beaches at low tide and the glorious sandy beaches on the Camel Estuary, including Polzeath, Daymer Bay and Rock are all approximately a 15 minute drive. The South West Coast Path meanders out of the village in both directions offering spectacular scenery and there are watersports and three golf courses within easy reach.

Accommodation overview: Albion Cottage is a traditional barn conversion, perfectly situated on the edge of the small village of Tresparrett, just 3 miles from the popular town of Boscastle on the North Cornish coast. The property is accessed via a private driveway shared only with the owners of the property, and offers both quiet and spacious accommodation for a couple. With easy access to many popular destinations along the North Coast, Albion Cottage offers the best of both worlds and is perfectly positioned for either touring or relaxing.
With parking for 2 cars right outside the property, the cottage is accessed via a small step and leads straight into galley style kitchen which is well equipped for dining in. To the right of the kitchen, a few small steps lead into a large and spacious bedroom with king-size bed and plenty of space for a cot. A doorway on the other side of the bedroom leads into a hallway with washer/dryer and to one side a separate bathroom with shower over, WC and basin.
The spacious living room with dining area is situated on the other side of the kitchen and offers plenty of room with two large sofas to relax and enjoy the vast array of books. The electric effect wood fire along with the German-engineered electrical heating system makes this room a wonderful place to relax after a long day walking the fantastic coastal paths nearby. To the front of the property there is a small outdoor seating area which overlooks the owner’s gardens. To the rear of the property is a small private lawned area for the visitors use; please do not let dogs off the lead except in this allocated garden.
The town of Crackington Haven, The Strangles beach, the South West Coast Path, the Valency Valley and Bodmin Moor all within a five mile drive. The popular towns of Bude and Wadebridge, with their boutique shops, restaurants and pubs can be reached within a twenty five minute drive and just a stone’s throw from Albion Cottage is a popular dog friendly pub which serves quality food and can easily be reached by foot. This mid terrace property is decorated to a good standard and is perfect for both small family gatherings and couples alike. This property is also perfectly suitable for the more elderly as its arranged on one level both inside and out.
On entering the property through the large French windows, access is straight into a cosy but well furnished and equipped lounge/kitchen/ diner with electric living flame fire and flat screen TV. The lounge is on one side which provides comfortable seating and a fully fitted kitchen/ diner on the opposite side.
Off the main lounge area, a rear hallway leads to the bedrooms which consist of one double bedroom with en-suite bathroom, shower over the bath and WC and one twin bedroom with en-suite shower room and WC.
