Accommodation overview: A delightful little semi-detached cottage of great character close to the green in the pretty hamlet of Trenale only five minutes drive from the dramatic cliff walks and sandy beaches of the Atlantic Coast.

Set to one side of a quiet country lane, the cottage is entered from a gated path shared with one other property, and the front door opens into a tiny carefully fitted beamed kitchen with a slate floor. One step leads up to a charming sitting / dining room with a beamed ceiling, comfortable furniture and pleasant view over the secluded lawned garden through an interestingly placed window in the old fireplace.

Stairs wind up to a cosy bedroom with twin pine beds and an en-suite bathroom W.C. with hand basin and electric shower over a half size bath. At one end of the front patio is the laundry room with a side gate leading to the lovely enclosed garden which has a useful outside W.C.

All the facilities of Tintagel are about half a mile and it is possible to unload outside the gate with unrestricted parking on the lane. The beaches at Trebarwith Strand and Bossiney Cove and the attractive fishing village of Boscastle are 2.5 miles respectively.

There is a pub in the hamlet within five minutes’ walk.

Mawgan Porth 1.5 miles has a pub, café, surf hire and local store and for a wider selection of amenities the resort of Newquay is 5 miles with many beaches, a zoo, leisure centre, bowling, cinema and aquarium. The famous harbour at Padstow is 9 miles where you can enjoy one of Rick Stein’s many eateries, visit the Elizabethan house at Prideaux Place, cycle the Camel trail to Wadebridge or take a ferry across to Rock with access to the beaches at Damer Bay and Polzeath by foot. For the water enthusiast the Extreme Academy at Watergate Bay provides many water based activities 1 mile away and is home to Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen restaurant. There are many golf courses in the area and the national Trust house Trerice and Lappa Valley Railway are within 6 miles.
