Providing a peaceful and relaxing holiday base in an idyllic setting and yet being only a short distance to the beaches and sheltered coves on the north coast. Many fun days out can be spent at local attractions such as: Launceston Steam Railway Newquay Sealife Centre Tintagel with its Arthurian legend Trethorne Leisure Park and many more. Other attractions for a great day out include The Eden Project Lands End and also Boscastle and Port Isaac which are nearby with their picturesque harbours. In the evenings visit one of the many local family pubs all serving good food. The barns have been converted from Grade II listed 17th century buildings and each has its own enchanting character which has been developed from their former use. These include cart houses stables and a mill. The owners also own an ancient drove that leads up to the Moor with its wonderful walks to the Tors. Each cottage is different from the next and great care and attention has been taken to ensure that the original features of each have been incorporated into the living accommodation providing a comfortable and unique setting. Stabling: available with direct access to the moor for riding. Farm activities: see the animals which include ponies pigs sheep and hens. Accommodation overview: Less than a mile from the picturesque fishing village of Port Isaac, this cosy and comfortable traditional end of terrace cottage is set to one side of the coastal road in the small hamlet of Trewetha, double glazed, yet retaining much of its original charm and character. The quaint village of Port Isaac still has a little working harbour nestling in a narrow sheltered valley where there is a small selection of shops, pubs and restaurants all just a 5 minute drive away.
Approached by a couple of steps and gated footpath that lead down to the front entrance porch with space for coats and boots. An inner glazed door opens directly into a charming dining room with a low beamed ceiling and wood burning stove and to one side a door leads through to a warm and cosy beamed sitting room with lounge seating arranged before the open fireplace.
At the rear, in an extension to the original cottage, a low doorway opens to a bright and cheerful kitchen and from here a door leads out to the generous sized country garden with a sheltered sun terrace and a couple of steps up to the lawn with a sandpit, swing and hedged border.
A narrow carpeted staircase with quite low headroom leads up from the dining room to the first floor landing where there are a bathroom with hand basin and shower over the bath, a separate cloakroom W.C., and two pretty cottage-style bedrooms. The master bedroom has a 5ft double bed overlooking the attractive rear garden and the second smaller bedroom has two pine single beds.
Young children and pets will requires supervision as there are slight changes in level in the cottage and the garden is only partially enclosed. There is off road parking for two cars on the driveway, and space for a boat trailer if required.
The small shingle beach at Port Gaverne is about a 5 minute drive and the glorious sandy beaches at Polzeath, Daymer Bay and Rock on the Camel Estuary are approximately 6 miles away. For a good choice of amenities the market town of Wadebridge is about a 15 minute drive where bicycles can be hired to explore the Camel Trail and the immediate area also offers fine coastal walking. There is a wide range of sports activities locally including fishing, surfing and sailing, three golf courses within easy reach and the Eden Project is about an hour’s drive.

Accommodation overview: With partial harbour and sea views, this cosy, comfortable, mid terraced stone cottage is set in a slightly elevated position halfway up the village to one side of a narrow lane which leads to the fishing village and sheltered harbour about a 5 minute steep walk down the hill.
Fronted by a small patio garden, half a dozen steps lead directly up from the road where the front door opens to a lobby area with coat hooks and an inner door into the hallway with a slate flag stone floor. There is a light and airy well-equipped kitchen / dining room at the rear of the cottage, fully fitted with modern units and a pine dining suite, and a wide archway leading to the sitting room at the front with comfortable seating facing the woodburning stove set in the hearth.
Carpeted stairs lead up from the dining area to the first floor landing where there is a bathroom W.C. with hand basin and shower over the bath and a nice and bright double bedroom with pine furniture and partial views looking down over the village rooftops towards the harbour. Rather narrow steep stairs lead to the second floor dividing at the top, to a spacious twin bedded room with views of the cliffs and harbour, and a further twin room with beds tucked under the eaves and sea views. There are electric convector heaters in all of the bedrooms.
A stable door opens from the kitchen to a service yard and a fairly steep flight of steps leading up to an outside W.C. and a small hillside garden providing a pleasant secluded place to sit with views of the sea and coastline. Young children and pets will require supervision in the garden. It is possible to load and unload directly outside the cottage and there is one car park space next door at the back. Further parking is in the public car park about 350 yards away.
The harbour, small shingle beach and all the village amenities are a short walk down the steep hill and there is also a pub offering food and a supermarket at the top of the village. There are lovely coastal walks in the immediate vicinity, and the sandy beaches at Polzeath, Daymer Bay and Rock are about a 15 minute drive, as are two 18-hole golf courses.

Entered from the tarmac parking area where there is ample space for three cars, a path leads to the front door which opens to an entrance hall with a quarry tiled floor, a ground floor twin bedded room and an adjacent shower room W.C. with hand basin and heated towel rail.
A door from the hallway leads to a light and spacious open-plan living room with rugs on the pine floor and views over the surrounding farmland. There is a smart fitted kitchen area with maple units, a dining suite, comfortable lounge seating facing an electric living flame fire, and French Windows that open to the patio and lawned garden.

The villages of Lanner and Carharrack are both within a 5 minute drive and each have a local shop and pub, and Falmouth, with a choice of beaches and a wide selection of amenities is just 7 miles. The beaches at Porthtowan and Portreath on the north coast are both 6miles away, and the famous resorts of Newquay and St Ives are just a 30 minute drive respectively.
The Roseland Peninsula can be reached in 20 minutes via the King Harry Ferry, and there are watersports centres at Stithians Lake and Mylor Harbour. There is a golf course and indoor ski centre 5 miles away, riding stables close by and the Cornish Way Coast to Coast Cycle Trail is nearby with bicycle hire available from Bissoe Tramways.
