Truro itself offers pubs shops theatre cinema and restaurants. Other attractions close by include The Eden Project Newquay Sealife Centre Flambards Theme Park and numerous National Trust properties and gardens. In the evenings enjoy a BBQ in the lovely mature garden or a glass of wine in the quaint summerhouse. The traditional cottage has many original features such as low beamed ceilings and doorways in some rooms. THREE bedrooms: 1 double 1 twin and 1 single. Accommodation overview: BEAUTIFULLY REFURBISHED 17TH CENTURY FORMER MILKING PARLOUR The property whose name is Cornish for milking parlour nestles in a truly rural spot within the West Cornish countryside between Lostwithiel and Fowey in the village of Lanlivery. Close to the Cornish Wildlife Trust Nature Reserve and Helman Tor a picturesque rocky outcrop that is an undiscovered beauty spot with unspoilt country views. Perfect for walkers and dog owners of all abilities and ages with the well-known Saints Way and Wilderness Trail that cross the moor and countryside. Easily accessed from the property is the National Cycle Network with many off-road trails and quiet country lanes to enjoy. There is even a direct route to The Eden Project proclaimed as the Eighth Wonder of the World . The market town of Lostwithiel is close by with shops restaurants and pubs as well as Restormel Castle which overlooks the River Fowey a pleasant location for a picnic. Fowey Regatta week (August) is a popular event with competitive sailing events street carnival the Red Arrows display team and much more. The picturesque and unspoilt harbour of Charlestown is also worth a visit. Built in the early 19th century for the export of copper and china clay it is home to a collection of old ships which have been used in film projects and its Shipwreck and Heritage Centre has the largest UK collection of artifacts and treasure recovered from shipwrecks. Also ideally placed to visit an array of National Trust properties including Lanhydrock House with its extensive grounds. The Eden Project and Bodmin Moor are also easily reached as are the North Cornish coastal towns of Tintagel Port Isaac Boscastle and Padstow. Accommodation overview: Set in the private village of The Eco Village at Mawgan Porth, Morhogh forms one of three terraced cottages which has been furnished and decorated to a good standard with a light and airy décor. Each with their own private and enclosed outside area, Morhogh is perfect for both small families or couples alike.
The end of terrace property is accessed through the French windows and the entrance is straight into a cosy but well furnished and equipped lounge/kitchen/ diner. On the lounge side, the property offers comfortable seating with electric living flame fire and flat screen TV and a fully fitted kitchen/ diner on the other side.
Off the main lounge area, an inner hallway leads to the bedrooms which consist of one double bedroom and one twin bedroom. An additional doorway leads to a separate bathroom with shower over the bath and WC.

At the end of a private gated road our three spacious and luxuriously appointed detached cottages offer peaceful seclusion in a beautiful setting within natural woodland and all grass farmland. With stunning, uninterrupted views over the surrounding countryside, St Clethers and Lower Gew sit either side of a natural pond and stream fed by water from an ancient holy well, whilst Little Hill nestles against the hillside nearby.
The cottages and their surroundings were originally the farmyard and buildings of what is still a working sheep farm. Many original features including the oak beams have been retained within the cottages, all tastefully decorated and furnished with your comfort and relaxation in mind.
Wildlife is in abundance and there are numerous footpaths and winding country lanes to explore, lined with a glorious display of wild flowers throughout spring and summer.
The villages of Ladock and Probus are within a mile of Ventonglidder. Both have friendly local pubs with restaurants. Probus offers two further restaurants and a cafe, a fish and chip shop, a farm shop, a mini supermarket including post office, and a garage with a shop.
Ventonglidder is open to guests throughout the year with a minimum stay of two nights apart from Christmas and New Year.

The cottage sleeps six people in three bedrooms (two doubles, one with an ensuite and one twin room) as well as a family bathroom. The cottage also contains a fitted kitchen, a dining room and a sitting room with a woodburning stove. Outside the cottage is off road parking for three cars and shared use of a front lawned area with a barbecue and a children’s playground. With its neighbouring cottages, Willow Cottage can sleep a total of thirty people and provide a wonderful base for visiting this part of Cornwall.

Accommodation overview: This pretty detached cottage sits on the edge of the creek with gardens extending to the banks. A stable door leads into an open plan ground floor with beamed ceiling.
The fully fitted kitchen is equipped with a breakfast bar. Beyond the kitchen is the dining area and a comfortable sitting area with French windows opening onto an attractive small patio and lawn on the quay side.
Upstairs are three bedrooms, all with waterside views, one with a double bed, another with twin divans and wash basin and a children's room with 2ft 6in bunk beds. The bathroom is fitted with a W.C., basin and shower over the bath.
Both Bodinnick and Polruan, which are in easy walking distance, have popular Inns providing good pub food. Fowey, with its rich variety of pubs, restaurants and cafes is 1.5 miles via the Bodinnick car / pedestrian ferry or half a mile down the creek by boat.
Guests from Pont House and Pont Quay Cottage may use this private quay, slipway and foreshore for their own and hire boats with the prior agreement of the owner. Pets are welcome at Pont but must be kept under control at all times to protect the abundant wildlife. There is a seasonal shop at Penmarlam campsite 1 mile away.
