The cottage, enlarged and refurbished from an early 17th century fisherman's cottage, has spectacular sea views and stands overlooking a beautiful Cornish beach and harbour. Situated at the end of a footpath it is an ideal venue to unwind. The cottage has steps down to the sandy beach, shared with a neighbouring property. The south-facing garden with two terraces, ideal for al fresco dining and sun bathing, is bounded by a stone sea wall which rises from the rocks and beach below.
Gorran Haven is a pretty fishing village set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with general store/bakery, post office, restaurant, pub/hotel and a public mooring in the harbour in the summer months. Just a five minute drive from the Eden Project and the lovely beaches of Porthpean, Charlestown and Par Sands, this freshly renovated double glazed semi detached cottage, is set on the corner of a country road close to the village playing field in the quiet village of Tregrehan Mills.
Entered from the lane, three steps lead down to a double glazed conservatory / dining area and an internal door opens into a long, beamed, sitting room with lounge furniture facing a coal effect electric fire. To one side, a recently upgraded, well equipped kitchen has modern fitted units and an external door leading to the fully enclosed garden. There is one ground floor bedroom with a double bed and an en-suite shower room W.C. with hand basin.
Carpeted stairs lead up in one corner of the sitting room to a wide landing, a twin bedded room and a Bathroom W.C. with Jacuzzi bath and hand basin. The garden featuring an outstanding Wisteria has a sheltered lawn and storage shed with ample room for beach gear, and there is off road parking for one car.
There is a pub that serves good food within a 10 minute walk and St Austell, 2 miles, has a range of shops and facilities including supermarkets, a cinema, bowling alley and leisure centre. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are within a 30 minute drive as are the picturesque coastal villages of Mevagissey and Fowey, and there are two golf courses at nearby Carlyon Bay and Porthpean.

Accommodation overview: With superb sea views, best from upstairs, this is a traditional detached farm cottage across the yard from the main farmhouse. Entered from a gated stone-walled gravelled patio area which surrounds the cottage, an open porch leads to the front door and from there into a long, comfortably furnished sitting room.
The deeply set windows frame the view across the yard and fields to the sea. The beamed farm-style kitchen / diner and a spacious utility entrance with cloaks facilities and sink, are at the other end. A step up from the sitting room leads to a bunk room and a W.C. with basin.
Upstairs are two further bedrooms, a double and one with two pine singles, both with superb views. A bathroom / W.C. with shower cubicle, bath and hand basin completes the accommodation.
At the rear of the cottage there is a fenced lawned garden.
