Miranda Cottage is a fantastic thatched house, built to an extremely high standard and situated in a quiet village close to the Helford River. As you approach Miranda you cannot believe that this beautiful holiday home is only two years old, as immense attention to detail in using locally sourced architectural items, has enhanced its charming appearance. Sited next to open farmland in an area known for its outstanding natural beauty, you are sure to enjoy peace and tranquillity amidst luxurious surroundings. There are many famous towns, villages and gardens to visit on the doorstep, as well as gorgeous National Trust beaches within a few miles. Entrance to Miranda is through the bright and airy conservatory and this feeling of light continues through each of the spacious ground floor rooms. The living room is double aspect giving views to the garden and the neighbouring farmland, with a massive granite lintel fireplace, housing the oil fired wood-burner, ensuring a cosy welcome year round. There are French doors to the garden and pretty gothic windows. The dining room has stained glass artwork reflecting the property name and a turning Douglas fir staircase with slate floors, as do all the ground floor rooms. The farmhouse kitchen is impressive with a black Aga and polished granite worktops. There are three spacious bedrooms on the first floor. Both the master en-suite and the family bathroom have free standing roll top, claw foot, baths with hand held shower attachments. These lovely bathrooms are perfect for a relaxing soak after a busy fun filled day. Everyday comfort is further ensured throughout the cottage, with under-floor central heating. By hiring a pony it is possible to ride cross-country to the beaches of Porth Joke and Holywell, without the need to cross any roads. The immediate area is renowned for its superb sandy surfing beaches, punctuated by craggy headlands. Perranporth (named after the patron saint of tin miners) is 10 miles to the south, famous for its drifting sands which have twice buried the church. Lifeguards patrol the wide sandy beach in summer, and surf boards and wet suits can be hired by the day. Further along is St Agnes with its superb coastal views, while to the south lies Truro, the unofficial capital of Cornwall, offering good shops and restaurants, a splendid cathedral and The Royal Cornwall Museum with extensive displays on the county. A short distance across the green, the Crantock Bay Hotel welcomes visitors in its restaurant and bar. The historic and family friendly Bowgie Inn is adjacent and offers a wide selection of food as well as local beers and ciders, and sports fans can enjoy Sky coverage. A general store (open in season) can be found nearby, and Crantock village and its shops are only 1 mile away. Lookout is a contemporary split level detached house overlooking the beautiful southern Cornish coastline. Situated at the gateway to Cornwall, a mere 15 minute drive from Plymouth, Downderry is a small village and although there are few shops they do offer everything for that essential purchase. There is also good eating in 'The Blue Plate' Restaurant, Waves bar and other local pubs and restaurants.

Guests can walk down to the beach which is approximately a five minute walk and is a mix of sand and shingle. Set amongst breathtaking views, this beautiful self catering accommodation sleeps six people in three spacious bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms. All rooms provide stunning panoramic views of the sea. The front door opens into a welcoming reception lobby leading to a cloakroom and large open plan kitchen. diner and sitting room. The seaward view spans across Rame Head to Eddystone lighthouse and Looe Island. The living area is perfect for a holiday in any weather. In summer, the living space can be extended to incorporate the decking and fully enjoy the view by opening the bi-folding doors. Whilst in winter the storms can be watched rolling in across the bay, with the comfort of the open fire. A perfect retreat to suit all!

The garden is a south facing sun trap with wonderful views and is terraced with steps leading down to a small lawn area. Entered from the gravel parking area where there is space for two cars, a concrete path leads round to the stable door which opens to a useful lobby.

An inner door leads into the fully fitted kitchen, well equipped and with smart modern units. A brick archway continues through to a pleasant living room with a part beamed ceiling, a dining suite and comfortable seating overlooking the enclosed garden. A door leads off to a carpeted hallway giving access to a cloakroom W.C. with hand basin, a bathroom W.C. with hand basin and shower over the bath and three attractive bedrooms. There are two bedrooms with king-size beds and fitted wardrobes, and the third bedroom has two single beds.

From the hall a door opens to the walled and gated garden with a crazy paved patio and a small lawn bordered by flower beds.
