Walkers will enjoy the many coastal paths and the immediate area locally known for its seven bays for seven days. The beautiful Porthcothan Bay is just a short distance as is the long sandy surfing beach at Watergate Bay. Enjoy a real culinary experience at either Jamie Oliver s Fifteen restaurant or Rick Steins Padstow. There is so much to see and do in the area with attractions to suit all tastes which include Newquay Sealife Aquarium Tate Gallery at St Ives The Eden Project Flambards Theme Park and much more. In the evenings visit one of many local family pubs serving food. The stylish accommodation offers reverse level accommodation and FIVE bedrooms all with TV s: situated on the ground floor: 2 double rooms both with en-suite shower rooms with WC s. 1 double and 1 bunk bedded room. Bathroom: family style with freestanding bath bath separate shower cubicle and WC. Also on the ground floor is utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. Accommodation overview: Just a ten minute walk down the hill to the picturesque fishing village of Padstow with all its restaurants, shops and inns around the harbour, this double glazed and centrally heated cottage is the middle one of three set in a quiet residential location.
Fronted by a small paved terrace, one step leads up to the front door which opens directly into a warm and inviting sitting room with two comfortable settees and a gas log effect fire set in the marble fire surround. At the rear, a door leads through to a light and airy kitchen/diner with modern fitted units including a gas hob and electric oven, a compact dining suite and a door opening to the enclosed rear garden with a south facing paved patio.
Carpeted stairs lead up from the lounge to the first floor landing where there are a bathroom W.C. with hand basin and shower over the bath and two pleasantly furnished bedrooms with a king size bed and bunk beds respectively. There is on site parking for one car directly outside the property and space for a further car in a private parking area at the end of the close.
There is a supermarket and children's playground within a couple of minutes walk and all the amenities around the harbour are about half a mile away including a good selection of fish restaurants, particularly Rick Stein’s. From the harbour, a short walk along the South West coastal footpath leads to several beautiful sandy beaches and coves, or alternatively by car, Trevone is 2 miles and Harlyn Bay 3 miles.
There is the facility to hire bicycles in Padstow to explore the Camel Trail recreational route and an assortment of boat trips depart from the quayside including a foot ferry operating across the estuary to Rock. For more information go to www.padstowgetaways.co.uk
