The owners working sheep farm is nearby and there is a lovely atmosphere of tranquility and remoteness. Local hero Rob Roy McGregor lived most of his life in the original house on this site in the early 18th Century. His grave can be visited in the local churchyard. With 7 Munros within easy reach, this is good country for walking, climbing or mountain biking, there is sailing and water sports 10 miles away at Loch Earn and river/loch fishing are available locally. The final 8 miles to the house are on a scenic but narrow single track road which winds up the glen past Lochs Voil and Doine.
