Accommodation overview: Wilton Cottage is a thoroughly classic Cotswold Cottage. It is situated in a beautiful spot overlooking the River Coln, on a quiet lane within the classic hamlet of Ablington. The cottage has an open fire, mullion windows and many traditional features, creating a cosy and homely appeal. Equally, the open plan ground floor adds to the atmosphere. The garden to side and rear is lovely (*below) but of particular appeal is a little bench at the front of the house, perched towards the river and perfect for a quiet moment. To the rear is a terraced garden planted with a wide variety of flowering plants, which at the top overlooks fields to the rear and owing to its elevated location also looks over the top of the house. The rear element to the garden is accessed via steep Cotswold steps and please note that there is no rail going up these steps. There is a seating and outside eating area with table and chairs which enjoys the sunshine all day, as well as a wooden climbing frame. Built in Victorian times our twelve cottages have won many awards including 5 star recognition and the English Tourist Boards Excellence Award. The properties were converted by Mrs. Judy Astor, our proprietor, back in 1992 and have been developed and refurbished over time to reflect our guests' wants and needs.
You should feel that your cottage is your 'home from home' in the Cotswolds and that everything you need to enjoy your stay is provided, from ready chopped and stacked logs for the open fire to high quality crockery and cutlery, from antique furniture to state of the art sound and vision. We seek out the fluffiest of towels and the highest thread count Egyptian cotton bed linen; we welcome you with a basket of local goodies and a bottle of champagne; we relish in all the little personal touches that make a great stay a brilliant one.
Bruern is a small hamlet surrounded by open country and has that special feel of a place 'lost in time'. Yet it is a short drive or train ride from cities and towns like Cheltenham, Oxford, Cirencester and Bath.

Accommodation overview: Ash House, located on the popular Lower Mill Village, is a spacious holiday cottage with access to superb facilities. The property enjoys a quiet, decked area overlooking a stream ideal for 'al fresco' dining, along with comfortable internal accommodation. In our opinion, this is a perfect location for those who wish to either have an active, sporting holiday or simply relax in peaceful surroundings. With an abundance of wildlife and walks around the glorious lakes surrounding the Mill Village this is likely to also appeal to the avid 'twitcher'! Accommodation overview: Bellhouse details
Bellhouse is a characterful, spacious rambling house with comfortable accommodation. It is in a glorious, quiet and very secluded setting with plenty of opportunities for long walks. The boundaries of the garden and woodland abut Woodchester Park, owned by the National Trust, and from the house it is possible to walk for miles without crossing a road,hearing a car or seeing more than a handful of people. Wildlife abounds around the five ornamental lakes which run through the Park. The Cotswold Way passes nearby.
The house itself forms the south-west wing of Woodchester Park House, a Grade II listed building. It dates back to the 1860s and retains many original features. Bellhouse's garden is attractive and private. A courtyard and a further patio area provide sun traps for outdoor sitting and eating. A large lawn surrounded by mature shrubs and trees is good for children's games. (Parents beware two ponds are separated off by a low fence). The garden is also enjoyed by foxes and badgers. The badgers are often spotted at dusk when they come for peanuts.
The Rose and Crown in Nympsfield is a 20-minute walk. Nailsworth, just three miles away, has a deli to die forand the best ever local bakery and coffee shop.
Cheltenham, Bath and Cirencester are all within 30 minutes' drive. The Gatcombe and Badminton Horse Trials are each within 20 minutes. For gardeners, Westonbirt Arboretum, Rodmarton Manor and Abbey House Gardens, Malmesbury are close. For music lovers, the annual Tetbury Music Festival is 15 minutes away. Slimbridge Wetland Centre, Berkeley Castle, Cattle Country, the Cotswold Water Park and the Bristol Gliding club are also within half an hour's drive.

Accommodation overview: The Dower House is a traditional self catering cottage situated in a truly idyllic location in the heart of the Gloucestershire Cotswolds. Located in the grounds of the owner's home and with access to a large garden and tennis court, this cottage enjoys peaceful surroundings, with views of rolling hills and woodland - classic Cotswolds countryside! Inside the cottage are many period features including beams and an open fire in the sitting room all of which enhance the character of the property. There are three bedrooms, with the two upstairs particularly spacious and with attractive views. The downstairs bedroom has its own bathroom. Catalpa Cottage is a detached 19th century Cotswold holiday cottage set in a quiet corner of Tetbury yet only a 3-minute walk from the centre. It is set in an elevated position above a one acre private garden. The garden comprises a patio terrace, a large sloping lawn and 2 ponds (low fence). Parents of toddlers please be aware.
Situated in the Cotswolds in an Area of Outsanding Natural Beauty, Tetbury is a thriving market town built around a 17th century Market Hall. It has elegant buildings and offers a unique retail experience with many individually owned shops and is also a major centre for antiques.
On the outskirts of Tetbury is Chavenage House, a wonderful example of an Elizabethan manor house and nearby is the National Arboretum at Westonbirt, set in 600 acres of rolling Cotswold countryside including 17 miles of footpaths to explore. In the autumn it offers breathtaking spectacular colour which has to be seen to be believed.
The famous Cotswold towns and villages provide an opportunity to enjoy the wonderful scenery.
The Prince of Wales is situated just outside Tetbury and Highgrove Garden tours are available at certain times of the year. Gatcombe Park, the home of The Princess Royal, is also nearby, famous for hosting The Festival of British Eventing (1st - 3rd August 2014).
A little further away you can visit the Cotswold Water Park, one of the largest areas of inland water offering a wide range of nature activities and water sports. The famous Wildfowl and Wetlands site at Slimbridge and the magnigicent Berkeley Castle are also within easy reach.
The historic city of Bath is only a 30 minute drive.
