Accommodation overview: Woodwells Cottage, rated 4 stars by the English Toursit Board, is as perfect example of peace, tranquility and picturesque surroundings as any cottage either in Owlpen or anywhere else in The Cotswolds. This detached house, is set on the edge of a small woods, surrounded by the beautiful countryside off a small country lane - this is is a real cottage hideaway! The house which is a traditional Cotswold style with good size rooms (rather than open plan) which give it a sense 'swallows-and-amazons'! We say this is as remote as you can get from the twentieth century in Southern England! Woodwells is a picturesque farmhouse built in 1877, set in the midst of a sunny clearing of wooded hills and at the end of the meadows. The house is utterly charming and an ideal family holiday home or place for friends to get together.ACCOMMODATION: A porch leads to the front hall. Elegant Dining Room, seating six comfortably. Conveniently located between Little Rissington and the edge of Bourton the Water the cottage has the benefit of being within a reasonable walk of the heart of Bourton, making it ideal for those people who want to be near the amenities without being in the centre of it all! Externally, the grounds that surround this cottage are very peaceful with horses and chickens mixed with gorgeous grounds and fabulous views of the Cotswolds fields and hills beyond. Internally the cottage has been renvoated by the owners to provide very welcoming Visit Britain Four Star standard self catering accommodation. There are also several local attractions to visit which include the Model Village, the Butterfly Maze, Birdland, the Motor Museum and the Cotswold Perfumery.

Accommodation overview: Granary Cottage, Blackwell is a Four Star rated self catering cottage set in the heart of the Northern Cotswolds, and a convenient distance from Chipping Campden and also Shakespeare's Stratford upon Avon. This lovely holiday cottage is set within the peaceful grounds of the owners home and is surrounded by some fine rolling Cotswolds' countryside. As one would expect from such a location it is ideal for walks, but it is equally perfect for enjoying many classic Cotswold spots including some National Trust gardens and ever popular market towns such as Stow on the Wold. Internally the cottage is presented in immaculate condition with good thought given to the period property whilst providing many modern facilities throughout that will give customers, in our opinion, a delightful experience and at excellent price. Added to this is access to a paddock AND a super games room with 'pub style' pool table!! Even though we saw this cottage on a damp day, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and are quite certain that you will too.ACCOMMODATIONEntrance through to hallway with boot storage and hanging space with cloakroomKitchen is a contemporary and a good size. Stratford-upon-Avon is eight miles away and there are several National Trust properties within a few miles. Shipston-on-Stour, a delightful market town with a wide range of independent shops, and Ilmington, a lovely Cotswold village with the famous Howard Arms pub with great food and atmosphere, are both 2-3 miles away. Chipping Campden, described historically as having Britain's most beautiful village street, is a short drive away

The owners have created a very welcoming holiday cottage which is absolutely ideal for families or two couples. Situated on the edge of the owners grounds, the cottage enjoys a private location overlooking fields in one direction and the tennis court in another, with the beautiful Cotswold hills in the distance. Internally the cottage is presented to a very high standard with good consideration given by the owners to ensuring that guests have a thoroughly enjoyable stay. Externally the cottage has a 'sun trap' terrace to the side with a grassed garden area beyond. There is a tennis court for use as well as a games room if more competition is required!
