Accommodation overview: Temple Mews (Visit Britain 4 stars) is an absolutely delightful holiday home converted from an old Cotswolds farm building. It is situated in the lovely and traditional Cotswolds' village of Broadwell, itself just 2 miles from the popular market towns of Stow on the Wold and Moreton in Marsh. Internally, the property has been beautifully converted to provide a very high standard of self catering accommodation for up to four people, with much thought given to the provision of modern features to make your stay welcoming and comfortable. The accommodation is located on the first floor of the building (via 10 steps). Externally, it enjoys a very peaceful location, tucked down a quiet and private driveway and overlooks, and use of, an enclosed garden to the rear. A short walk away is the well established Fox Inn, serving food and local ales. In our opinion Temple Mews provides a wonderful country retreat in complete peace and yet within a short distance of two of the Cotswolds most delightful market towns. It's history dates back to The Middle Ages when the estate of Broadwell belonged to the Benedictine Monks. It is recorded in the Doomsday Book that Broadwell had 48 inhabitants. The Church of St. Paul has part of it's structure dating back to 1086 and has been restored and added to over the years. Nearby are Stow on the Wold and Moreton in Marsh providing a full range of local amenities (including train station with access to Oxford and London) with many of the Cotswolds attractions within easy driving distance, including Cotswold Farm Park, Cotswold Wildlife Park, Shakespeare's Stratford upon Avon, Blenheim Palace and countless National Trust gardens.

Accommodation overview: Peter's Nest Cottage is a delightful Cotswold cottage set within a clearing called "Peter's Nest Wood", also known mysteriously as Hell's Throat!! It is the original cottage of the Woodwells farmstead (marked on an 1847 map) and is a location particularly popular as a meeting place for sociable pheasants! The cottage is at the end of a track and is best described as a truly peaceful location, ideal for those who like to get away from it all. Internally the cottage has an open plan feel on the ground floor and bedroom upstairs set within the eaves. The cottage is located on the famous Owlpen Estate, which has long been recognised as one of England's most romantic early manor houses and one which Prince Charles describes as one of his favourites. ACCOMMODATION: The accommodation is presented in a simple and traditional style that would make the cottage perfect for getting away from the city. Westonbirt Arboretum is forty minutes to the South and Batsford Arboretum about twenty minutes North. Many interesting local gardens are open through the season.
