Accommodation overview: The Court House ETC 4 Star, is a charming Grade I listed Stuart garden building from circa 1620. It has been imaginatively converted to provide a chic little cottage for two to four adults in the heart of the beautiful Gloucestershire Cotswolds. Originally, it was a banqueting house or gazebo, but more recently it has become known as the Manor's 'Court House', because here the successive Lords of the Manor of Owlpen would have held their Court Leet or 'Hamilton' - the "trying of their servants and tenants for petty offences"! ACCOMMODATION: Downstairs is the Kitchen and Bathroom, with a little loggia restored as an attractive Dining Room. The glass doors, divided by a simple Tuscan column, frame a view of the East Wing of Owlpen's Manor House.First Floor Please note: reached via a steep, narrow spiral staircase, leading to a Sitting Room in the old Justice Room. Main Bedroom with double bed (and a basin) beyond.Second floor (via steep narrow staircase.)Bedroom Two, with a four foot double bed. Inglenook Cottage is the epitomy of a chocolate-box cottage, and has featured on postcards, in books and in the press. It’s bursting with character and lies with many other thatched properties in the idyllic village of Broad Campden.

300 years old, the Grade II listed cottage used to be the village smithy, and it has a huge inglenook fireplace, complete with seat and bread oven. You can cosy up in front of a roaring log fire. There are countless exposed beams, a stone staircase and ancient wooden floorboards. The property is sympathetically restored with top quality modern appliances, a beautiful fitted wooden kitchen, and a cottage-style bathroom with shower.

Picturesque Broad Campden has a village pub, The Bakers Arms, which has featured in the Good Beer Guide, and the Good Pub Guide, and serves excellent food. Internally this cosy retreat has a lovely rustic charm with huge oak beams crossing the living space. It is a character split-level studio apartment set in the last bay of Owlpen's listed Barn, converted above the coach house in about 1700. With massive oak cruck beams and principal trusses, which date it to the 1450s, it has been completely renovated to the same standard and quality of Owlpen's larger cottages of this historic manor estate. Day-to-day provisions are available in Uley which is only half a mile away where there is a Post Office/village shop, one pub, a brewery and an arts centre. ACCOMMODATION: The light and spacious open plan studio has comfortable sitting room area at one side, and a double bed. Two steps lead up to the Kitchen/dining area and Bathroom beyond. Nestled in the centre of the peaceful and picturesque village of Stanton, in the heart of the Cotswolds, is the Hayloft. A charming 17th century converted Cotswold stone barn with many exposed beams, yet with a light and airy feel and good headroom for guests above 6'. Stanton is quintessentially Cotswolds, picture postcard pretty and a welcome retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Broadway with its many pubs and restaurants and a great delicatessen is just three miles away. The small but busy town of Stow-on-the-Wold with a large selection of interesting shops is nine miles distant. Winchcombe is a must for food lovers with a number of great eating hostelries. Cheltenham boasting the popular Gold Cup in March is 11 miles away. Stanton, which lies on the Cotswold Way, is a delight for walkers and cyclists, with trails to suit all abilities running from the village. Pubs at Snowshill and Broadway are both within walking distance.

For riders of all levels, horses can be hired at the renowned Jill Carenza Equestrian centre on the edge of the village. Steam enthusiasts can board the Gloucester and Warwickshire steam railway at Toddington (three miles) and mountain bikers have endless hilly trails to keep them busy.

The Mount Inn at top of the village has extensive views over both the village, the surrounding Cotswold countryside and the Vale of Evesham. Extremely popular, booking is recommended in this friendly, cosy public house serving good food and local Donnington Ale. The village is also home to a small garden nursery with a wonderful array of plants and a small farm shop selling local produce, including asparagus (in season), cheese and delicious sausages.
