Set on the slopes above the Wye Valley, this delightful holiday cottage is a real gem - surrounded by green fields and from the garden there are spectacular views of twenty miles plus over the surrounding countryside towards the Brecon Beacons. Once a wee farmhouse, and first built at the beginning of the 18th century, the self catering accommodation retains much of the character of the original building and now provides a warm and welcoming character home in a delightful setting. Inside character features include a wood-burner and beams while outside you have a private garden and little bothy - perfect for relaxing on those long summer days. This is an excellent base from which to explore this beautiful area and represents superb value for money. Accommodation overview: 3 The Bank is an absolutely perfect holiday cottage - the complete, quintessential Cotswold Country Cottage set in one of the Cotswolds' most perfect villages. The house, which is the middle part of an historic building, is split over four floors and is presented in a very attractive style, retaining all the charm of this beautiful old building. We loved it when we inspected it! Particularly appealing factors are the large bedrooms and the lovely living room. The location within the village is perfect - tucked down a little, no-through lane. There is a lovely little village pub moments away serving a good local pint. Collectively the cottage has plenty to offer, we see it appealing to families as much as it will to the 'weekend breakers'. Internally the property is very spacious and therefore perfect family or a group get-together, with the large, open plan living space a particularly appealing room.
