Manor Farmhouse in Milstead, Kent provides luxury self catering holiday accommodation and comprises of three buildings. The main farmhouse is a traditional 15th Century thatched timber framed holiday retreat accommodating 7 guests along with 2 other characterful properties: Stable Cottage with accommodation for 6 guests and The Barn with accommodation for 5 guests which also contains the leisure complex.
The holiday rental is situated in the midst of the charming village of Milstead in Kent, nestled between the Church of St Mary and the Holy Cross, the Manor House and the village cricket green. There is plenty to see and do in this part of Kent. The holiday retreat is only three miles from the town of Sittingbourne, Faversham is close by and a little further takes you to the popular coastal town of Whitstable and the cathedral city of Canterbury. This area of the North Downs which is classified as one of the UK's designated Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty is also known as the Garden of England.
This luxury rental is approached through electric gates into a large courtyard around which are arranged The Farmhouse, Stable Cottage and The Barn.

The village is best known for its connection to Rudyard Kipling and his home Batemans is now a National Trust property attracting many visitors. The village boasts 2 pubs grocery shop Post Office butcher antique shops and a tea room. Easily accessible from London the nearest main line station is 3 miles away and can transport you to London Bridge within 70 minutes. There is much to see and do in the local area with 4x4 action days pamper days horse riding and golf nearby including the East Sussex National Course which is 25 minutes away. Murder Mystery days are held at the Bluebell Railway and Herstmonceux Castle. Leisure facilities: outdoor swimming pool which is open daily from 20 May - 20 September until 6pm. The pool is shared with the main house however exclusive use for each party is on a rota basis mornings or afternoons. Closed 1 - 2 pm for lunch. Games room: exclusive use of games room which is located under the Hayloft and has a slate bed pool table air hockey and bar football. Play facilities: shared enclosed children s outdoor play area with swings and monkey bar set child s trampoline with enclosure slide and football goals. The spacious house offers FIVE bedrooms: on the ground-floor 1 king-size 1 double with en-suite shower room with WC and 1 further double. At the top of the oak staircase are 2 triple rooms each room having three single beds. Bathroom: on the ground-floor with roll-top bath and WC. Bathroom: on the first-floor with bath separate shower and WC. Separate WC downstairs. Lounge: with seating for 12 TV/DVD woodburner (first basket of logs included) and Wi-Fi in addition to a selection of films books and games. Dining room: light and airy with large oak table and chairs. Accommodation overview: Heron Cottage is a large house set in six acres of grounds surrounded by unspoilt countryside, it is situated between the ancient village of Biddenden and Sissinghurst Castle, about ten miles from Ashford and five miles from Headcorn station with frequent trains to London. As it is a Bed & Breakfast establishment in summer, all seven bedrooms have TVs and modern en-suite bathrooms except one which has use of the family bath and shower rooms.
