Accommodation overview: The Old Hundred is a rare opportunity to stay in one of the finest Manor houses in the Cotswolds' region. The house is approached via a private tree lined drive with fields on either side. 'Old Hundred' has a wonderful history - Georgian (circa 1711) on the east side, an older wing dating back to mid 15th Century plus an Edwardian addition with the large conservatory. The house has a large lawn to the south with a "ha-ha" leading to fields with large mature trees. There are herbaceous borders and a walled vegetable garden leading to an astroturf tennis court with other lawned areas leading to a young arboretum. Internally, the house has lovely spacious rooms, a stunning conservatory, a stone paved hall with a central staircase and nine comfortable bedrooms. There is also a good choice of walks from the town including the Cotswold Way to Broadway. Hidcote Gardens (National Trust) and Stratford-upon-Avon are both easily accessible.

The property is located within a traditional terrace of old worker cottages, which were originally called the 'Church Cottages'. Today the property, as you would expect with such history, including a strong association with Wadham College, Oxford, has many Cotswolds features including the classic beams that make the rooms so cosy. The cottage was updated in recent years and provides very comfortable accommodation for two or possibly four with a second bedroom on the top floor*. Of particular appeal is the fact that the attractions of Bourton on the Water are approximately 2 minutes walk away! ACCOMMODATIONEntrance to the property is through to kitchen. Similarly, the famous Severn Bore (a tidal surge on the River Severn) is nearby too and if the timing is correct you will see a unique natural phenomena.
