Once the home of William Talman, architect of Chatsworth and Master of the Works to the court of James I, Felmingham Hall was built in 1569 and is one of the earliest examples of Elizabethan architecture in North Norfolk.
It stands in unspoilt countryside not far from the National Trust's Blickling and Felbrigg estates, and is an ideal location from which to explore the renowned coastline of Norfolk, only 20 minutes by car. The famous Weaver's Way network of country walks is a 10-minute stroll from the barns and the east coast just 15 minutes by car. From Felmingham the picturesque Georgian towns of Holt and Burnham Market, the seaside villages of Cley (with its famous bird sanctuaries) and Stiffkey, and the traditional English resort towns of Cromer (with its Hotel de Paris), Sheringham and Wells are all within easy reach by car and offer everything from delicatessens and antique shops to restaurants and theatres.

Accommodation overview: This Wroxham holiday home is a wing of a stately early 19th century hall. Set amidst extensive parkland. Wroxham and Hoveton are at the very heart of Broadland, and are excellent locations for fishing, sailing and bird watching. The River Bure divides the two villages, commonly called Wroxham. It is home to the Bure Valley Railway, Wroxham Barns and Roys, 'the biggest village store in the world'. Both day boat hire and sailing tuition are available locally. It is also just eight miles from Norwich, with the sandy beaches of the East Coast a twenty minute drive away. Hoveton Hall is a stately early 19th century house surrounded by extensive parkland. The East Wing is self-contained with large and sunny rooms, decorated and furnished in traditional style. The three spacious bedrooms can easily accommodate six people. However, by closing off two of the bedrooms, we are also able to offer the Wing at a reduced price for two people. Accommodation overview: A charming and spacious property with bags of character in a quiet location yet close to the coast at Wells and Brancaster. There is an excellent pub/restaurant in the village which is within walking distance. East and West Rudham villages flow into each other and are situated in a very pretty area of West Norfolk. East Rudham has a lovely village green with a "gastro" pub and a very popular boutique/cafe/shop in the local area. Stately homes abound with Houghton Hall and Holkham in the area. The market town of Fakenham has an excellent market on a Thursday and there is a chance to visit the auction rooms on the same day. The sandy beaches of Wells, Hunstanton and Brancaster are a short distance by car and of course there is excellent bird watching at both Titchwell and Holme nature reserves. Burnham Market village, just 20 mins drive, offers an amazing unique shopping experience within a wealth of historic buildings. Mallard Cottage is a large semi-detached period (1890) brick and flint cottage which stands in half an acre of private gardens (with a natural pond), yet within walking distance of the village centre. Priory Barn is a stunning detached brick and flint Grade II listed barn which has been completely renovated and refurbished to very high standard. Set within its own private enclosed landscaped grounds it has a front courtyard and extensive lawned areas to the side and rear. There is a large terraced area with garden furniture and barbecue. The property is approached via its own drive through security gates with ample parking for four cars.
Weybourne is a pretty village situated on the north Norfolk coast in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The village is mentioned in the Domesday book and there are remains of an old Augustan Priory which was founded around 1200AD on the site of a simpler Saxon church. These remains can be seen from the gardens of Priory Barn. There are many fine examples of Norfolk brick and flint cottages dating fromthe 17th century and the village is a designated conservation area.
The village is well served by the Village Store with its deli section and cafe area. There is also the Weybourne Station Tearooms where you can watch the trains go by on the heritage Poppy Line. There is a pub and hotel in the village which serve food both of which are a short walk away.
The beach which is a mere 300 metre stroll from Priory Barn is shingle and the Norfolk coastal path runs through the village.
