The holiday property has been designed and built around an inner enclosed courtyard-style garden, ideal for children, with French doors leading into and from the living and dining areas. Unusual features of the house include a wood-burning stove set within a large brick fireplace accessed from both sides with a Victorian blacksmith’s bellows above; an unusual mezzanine-level twin-bedded room with vaulted ceilings overlooking the kitchen/dining-room and one en-suite bedroom accessed via the courtyard (making a perfect guest suite). Centrally located, it is within easy driving distance of Norwich, one of the five largest cities in Norman England. Tucked into a sweeping bend of the River Wensum, the cathedral and castle are amongst the most popular attractions to visit and there are plenty of cafes, restaurants and excellent shopping. Local market towns Fakenham and East Dereham are within easy reach, with shops, inns, restaurants and cinema. There is also ten-pin bowling, a sports centre, indoor swimming-pool, golf and horse racing course. Visit the beautiful Norfolk Broads, where trips can be made along the famous waterways. An alternative way of admiring the Broads is by bicycle, the 56-mile Weavers’ Way winds through the best parts of the Broads on its way from Cromer to Great Yarmouth.
