Accommodation overview: Woodside Cottage is set in beautiful countryside between the villages of Thurgarton and Sustead. It is a Victorian brick cottage set in a large, secluded garden with views over the surrounding farmland. Thurgarton is situated in rural North Norfolk where the countryside is criss-crossed with quiet lanes for riding a horse or bicycle, and walkers can enjoy the nearby Weavers Way. It is a perfect location for a get-away-from-it-all holiday yet still offers easy access to all of Norfolk's attractions. The traditional seaside resorts of Sheringham and Cromer with their sandy beaches and rock pools are approximately six miles away, or a little further west is the enormous stretch of sand and dunes at Holkham Bay. There are several National Trust properties to visit and Norwich boasts a fine cathedral as well as restaurants, theatres and galleries. The meandering waterways of the Norfolk Broads are only a short drive away.
Woodside Cottage is set in secluded farmland between the villages of Thurgarton and Sustead. In a central position for exploring some of Norfolk's finest attractions, guests at Swannington can enjoy some excellent golf at Weston Park and Barnham Broom, and walking and cycling paths, such as the Marriott's Way, the Bure Valley and Weavers Way. The Norfolk Broads are an easy drive, where you can enjoy a river cruise or hire a boat by the day. Within a thirty minute drive, you can enjoy North Norfolk and its wide sandy beaches. The cathedral city of Norwich with all its cultural attractions and shopping opportunities is approximately fifteen minutes by car. Norfolk abounds with National Trust properties with Blickling, Felbrigg and Sheringham Park being the closest.
