Accommodation overview: Very pretty detached cottage quietly situated on the edge of the village. The village of Hickling is on the edge of Hickling Broad, which is the largest of the Broads and is popular for boating and windsurfing. The area is a haven for ornithologists, nature lovers and walkers, with beautiful countryside all around. Cyclists will love the quiet lanes, with a number of places offering cycle hire. Lovely sandy beaches can be found at Waxham and Sea Palling, which are just three miles away, and there is easy access to the whole of Norfolk's rich and diverse coastline. The village has two pubs serving food and further facilities are a short drive away in Stalham.
This very pretty detached cottage is quietly situated, on the edge of the village, near to the church. It has character features including beamed ceilings and an inglenook fireplace and is furnished and equipped to a very high standard. It also has a lovely courtyard garden. Accommodation overview: A delightful and spacious property in a quiet rural setting that is a super location for exploring the area, Norwich, Cambridge, Southwold and Aldborough are all easily reached, a great retreat for a relaxing and very comfortable holiday. South Norfolk is a hidden secret, the area is so unspoilt with its attractive rolling countryside, pretty market towns and villages, yet Norwich is only 14 miles away. Go East and you will reach Bungay and Beccles both of which give you access to the Broads. Southwold and Aldborough on the Suffolk Heritage Coast are a little further afield and well worth a day trip. Thetford Forest, Bressingham Steam Museum and Banham Zoo are a short drive. There is so much to see and do if that takes your fancy. But if you fancy, peace, tranquillity and walks and cycling from your doorstep, you couldn't be better placed.- The Studio is a comfortable, spacious and light property offering great accommodation for a couple on their own or with a small child. This beautifully converted detached coach house is situated on the edge of the pretty village of Banningham, perfectly located equidistant from the cathedral city of Norwich and the spectacular North Norfolk coast. Adjacent to the pretty village church, which dates from the 14th Century, the Coach House provides total privacy and tranquillity within its fully enclosed walled garden. There is ample parking. The Coach House is within easy reach of the village green and family friendly pub, the Crown, which serves good food and hosts a highly regarded jazz day in the summer.
Banningham is three miles from the historic market town of Aylsham, which is served by good shopping facilities and restaurants. There are many National Trust properties in the surrounding area including Blickling Hall (four miles), which hosts an exciting international programme of open air concerts, both classical and pop, throughout the summer months. Felbrigg Hall is 10 miles away with its stunning gardens renowned for its rhododendrons and azaleas.
The popular Georgian towns of Holt and Burnham Market, with their boutiques and antique shops, are within easy reach, with the beautiful beaches of the Norfolk coast only 15 minutes' drive away. The Coach House is perfectly situated for family holidays - visit the seals at Blakeney, the Dinosaur Park at Lenwade, or the children's adventure park Bewilderwood, which is only 15 minutes away. A miniature railway line links Aylsham and Wroxham, giving perfect access to a family day on the Broads.
The Coach House is ideally placed to explore the beautfiul Norfolk countryside with easy access to the Norfolk Wildlife Trust Reserves at Hickling Broad, Ranworth and Cley Marshes. The beach at Holkham always feels deserted and if you are lucky you may see the Household Cavalry there during the summer while the horses are on their holidays - just perfect.

Accommodation overview: Attractive modern cottage less than ten minutes walk from the beach. Happisburgh (pronounced Haisbro) is a seaside village on the North East Coast of Norfolk. It has considerable historic charm with many thatched cottages and a handsome church, whose tower top is now accessible to visitors. There is a prominent red and white striped lighthouse, and the beach is loved by all age groups. There are some lovely coastal and rural walks in the area and many attractions to visit, including the Broads and the Royal Horticultural Society garden at East Ruston. Heather Cottage is an attractively presented, pleasant, modern cottage. It is well maintained and offers a warm welcome at any time of the year. A shortcut beyond the pub, across a field and down a lane you will come to a new car park and picnic area and a wide sandy bay, all of this only about a ten minute walk from the cottage.
