Quietly situated on the edge of the picturesque village of Corpusty which boasts its own art gallery open all hours store and a pub serving good food. Enjoy a walk in the water meadows abundant with wildlife. Within easy distance for enjoyable days out are the coastal villages of Blakeney Wells and Holkham with their sandy beaches and salt marshes offering bird watching crabbing from the quay and boat trips to see the seals. The North Norfolk Railway runs from the traditional seaside town of Sheringham which also has an indoor aqua centre whilst the Bure Valley Railway takes visitors to Wroxham on the Norfolk Broads. The summer Cromer Carnival is great fun. Nearby National Trust properties include Blickling Felbrigg Sheringham Park and Kelling Heath for woodland walks. The barns are well positioned for the Georgian market town of Holt with its traditional bakers butchers antique shops restaurants and tearooms. The Normans is a three storey holiday townhouse situated in the centre of Wells-next-the-Sea in Norfolk, just a 2-minute walk from the harbour and the sea. A high wall totally encloses the picturesque rear garden and patio area of this self catering luxury rental house. The house was originally built for the town's wheat merchant, who, it was rumoured, was also a smuggler. At the top of the holiday house there is a spy window, from which the merchant watched his boats come in and apparently the house had tunnels running beneath leading to various locations in the town. The spacious bedrooms have impressive views across the coast from Holkham to Stiffkey.
Wells-next-the-Sea is a popular Norfolk town set behind a small harbour on the beautiful North Norfolk Coast. The town has a maze of narrow streets, old alleys and yards, filled with shops, pubs and cafes and there are many listed and impressive Georgian and Victorian buildings.
Wells-next-the-Sea is within one of the UK's designated Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty at the heart of the North Norfolk Heritage Coast. The beautiful sandy beach, with its pine trees, sand dunes and colourful beach huts, can be reached using a miniature steam train from the harbour, or enjoy the quay with its active fishing fleet and sailing club. Accommodation overview: The beach is just minutes away, as is the town centre. Kittiwake could not be more central and the accommodation is ideal for a family or a couple. This is an excellent location for a traditional seaside holiday. The charming seaside town of Sheringham is an excellent location for a holiday in beautiful North Norfolk. The award-winning beach is of flint pebbles when the tide is high, giving way to a large expanse of smooth sand as the tide recedes. Cliffs rise on either side of the town, which has a backdrop of wooded hills, including those in the wonderful Sheringham Park. Sheringham is also home to The North Norfolk Steam Railway, Splash Leisure Centre, a golf course and an excellent selection of shops, tea-rooms, pubs and restaurants.
