Accommodation overview: Foxhill Barn Cottage is super cottage located very near to the centre of the Cotswold Hills, just outside the pretty village of Naunton, itself a short drive from Stow on the Wold. Surrounded by fields this attractive holiday cottage is a good choice for people who are interested in sampling traditional Cotswold countryside... Internally the cottage, formerly a barn, has been converted to create a very comfortable two bedroom self catering home, packed with period features including oak beams and mullion windows, yet with many modern conveniences. The two large bedrooms also enjoy private Ensuite bathrooms. Externally, it enjoys great views across the open countryside as well as a large garden. This homely cottage is ideal for those who plan to either sit and relax (and do nothing!) other than the odd stroll to the village pub or use it as a base for touring the Cotswolds region. LocationThe cottage is set just outside the village of Naunton, which is approximately 15 min walk away. Naunton itself is a delightful village set in the valley packed with countless classic country cottages and a popular local pub. There are endless walks literally from your cottage door in all directions with many other traditional villages (and pubs!) to explore. Nearby is Stow on the Wold (approx 4 miles) a popular Cotswolds market town with many antique shops, restaurants and cafes as well as other amenities to choose from. Cheltenham is very near by also. Slightly further afield are many other Cotswolds hotspots including Burford, Bourton on the Water, Woodstock and Cirencester along with many attractions. Of particular interest is the Cotswold Farm Park which is very close by.

Bicester Hotel Golf Club and Spa are only a short drive. Even a day trip to London is very accessible on the train. In the evenings enjoy a game of croquet on the lawn see the resident Alpacas in the adjoining field or enjoy a glass of wine in the attractive gardens. Accommodation overview: The Lodge at Holycombe is a unique Cotswold holiday cottage set on the edge of the beautiful village of Whichford. Nestling amongst six acres of land, the property is an ideal retreat away from the stresses of hectic life in the city! Holycombe itself is set in a wooded valley where a natural stream rises from a holy well in the nearby wood, passes though the grounds and down a waterfall. (The sound of running water adds to the sense of peace and tranquillity.) A coppice provides shady outdoor space; there's a campfire area and a large stone circle on the castle site. Across a meadow is the ancient Whichford wood with many rare species of trees and plants, an abundance of wood anemones, primroses and bluebells in spring; chestnuts, blackberries and sloes in autumn. Wildlife abounds: everything from Muntjack to polecats and kingfishers. Set in six acres, Holycombe is built in the grounds of a Norman Castle, and has a water-filled moat, habitat for carp and dragonflies. Sally and Andy Birtwell rescued the site from 40 years of being a scrap yard, dedicating 6 years of their life to the restoration. They have built a beautiful house and garden to honour the sacred landscape. Archaeologists have excavated a Roman conduit carrying water from the springs in the wood to the site and dowsers and geomancers have suggested it was a sacred site before Roman the occupation. They also believe that six leylines converge on the stone circle.

Accommodation overview: Church Cottage, Burford is one of those unique holiday cottages which come along only once in a while! Located in the heart of the beautiful Cotswold town of Burford, and right next to the famous 14th/15th Century church (described as the finest in Oxfordshire) this classic Cotswold cottage has everything to make your holiday truly enjoyable. Internally the cottage has been recently refurbished and provides a holiday home with character, charm and style: light, airy and comfortable, with hints of the 'Art-Deco' period when the house was built. Externally the house has an enviable location at the end of a no-through lane and overlooking the church. Accommodation overview: Ryeworth Cottage, Kingham is an exceptional Cotswold Holiday Cottage set in one of the areas most desirable and attractive villages, roughly equi-distant between Burford and Chipping Norton. The village has everything you could want for a Cotswolds' break, including award winning pubs and a comprehensive local store. It has many excellent walks surrounding it, but perhaps of great appeal to some is the convenience of the Daylesford Organic (described in The Telegraph as 'the UK's poshest shop'!!) The cottage, which is semi detached, is a simply stunning holiday home spread across four floors with spacious rooms throughout. The large welcoming living space, plus the three bathrooms (for three bedrooms) make this a thoroughly attractive option. However and perhaps most amazing, if this is possible, is the swimming pool and steam room (Turkish Hammam) which are of the highest quality and for guests' use. In addition and on request, is a tennis court. This holiday cottage really has it all and is suitable for customers who expect the very best in self catering accommodation.
