The Old Bakery is a converted, period, beamed detached stone property that lies near the green in the village of Kingham. Kingham is an attractive village, situated within the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, built predominantly of Cotswold stone with some elegant tiled and thatch roofed cottages.
The village previously won the prestigious title of "England's Favourite Village" as featured in Country Life magazine and was named the best village in England by the Telegraph in 2010.
Within easy walking distance are the well-stocked village shop and post office, and the village's two highly recommended local pubs, the Kingham Plough, and the Wild Rabbit. The award winning Daylesford Farm Shop is within one mile of the village.
One mile outside the village there is a mainline railway station with direct trains to Oxford and London. The pretty Cotswold villages of Stow-on-the-Wold, Bourton-on-the-Water, Chipping Norton and Moreton-in-Marsh are all within a 10-minute drive.

Hunter Court is a luxury holiday house set in the idyllic Cotswold village of Clanfield. This substantial home is very spacious, and is tastefully decorated with a relaxed, family home feel.
The five acre property comprises two fields (often with sheep) and a walled garden of approximately half an acre.
The self-catering holiday retreat is a two minute walk from two cosy 17th century pubs with excellent food and roaring log fires. Clanfield is an ideal location for an outdoor break in Oxfordshire with plenty of walks as well as cycling, fishing and boating (the Thames is only two miles away). Burford is eight miles away, Oxford 21 miles and Cirencester 18 miles.
Heathrow Airport can be reached in an hour and 10 minutes and the nearest train stations are Oxford (21 miles) and Didcot (22 miles), Charlbury (16 miles) and Swindon (17 miles).

The property is presented to a very high standard (the owners own another property with Manor Cottages which is both a very high standard and also very popular with customers) with up to six bedrooms and four bathrooms available. Internally the property retains many period features along with countless contemporary touches to give this a real high quality, minimalist feel. An element that particularly appealled to us was the large ground floor which has the feeling of being 'open plan' but actually has separate 'rooms'! Archway Cottage is a delightful cottage which was once part of an old brewery in Milton-under-Wychwood, a delightful Cotswold village. The property was completely renovated a few years ago and is furnished in a contemporary style with an emphasis on modern comfort.
The village has a post office and a small supermarket. It is located a mile from Shipton-under-Wychwood (which has three pubs, the Lamb, the Wychwood Inn and the Shaven Crown.) Also within a 15-minute drive are the top local pubs/restaurants, such as the Feathered Nest in Westcote, the Chequers in Churchill, the Toll House and the Plough can be found in Kingham, which also has the award-winning Daylesford Organic Farm shop and a mainline station to London Paddington.
There are three lovely market towns within 10 miles - Burford, Stow-on-the-Wold and Chipping Norton. A little further afield are Oxford and Stratford-upon-Avon. Many delightful country house gardens are in the neighbourhood and also many wonderful walks in all directions.

Accommodation overview: Hillside Cottage is a charming character cottage, situated in an absolutely beautiful Cotswolds village, about 3 miles from the popular market town of Chipping Norton. The cottage, which is built in traditional stone, enjoys an elevated and very peaceful position overlooking rolling countryside with nothing but trees, village roof tops and fields in the distance! The village has a weekend farm shop which sells good quality local produce. The cottage is totally detached down a quiet track with off-street parking and a wonderful private garden. Inside, the cottage really is a haven of olde England, boasting antique furniture, period beams, an open fire in the sitting room with many books and an ever popular AGA. In our opinion this cottage offers good value for money in a truly idyllic spot!Get local, organic food delivered to your door including vegetables, eggs, ice cream, yoghurt, home made bread and cakes and ready prepared home made meals!
