Accommodation overview: Harvest Barn is a wonderful period conversion providing luxurious accommodation for large groups. Overlooking the spectacular Cotswold countryside, (see pictures) there are six bedrooms plus excellent entertaining space which together make this a very comfortable destination. Hunter Court is a luxury holiday house set in the idyllic Cotswold village of Clanfield. This substantial home is very spacious, and is tastefully decorated with a relaxed, family home feel.
The five acre property comprises two fields (often with sheep) and a walled garden of approximately half an acre.
The self-catering holiday retreat is a two minute walk from two cosy 17th century pubs with excellent food and roaring log fires. Clanfield is an ideal location for an outdoor break in Oxfordshire with plenty of walks as well as cycling, fishing and boating (the Thames is only two miles away). Burford is eight miles away, Oxford 21 miles and Cirencester 18 miles.
Heathrow Airport can be reached in an hour and 10 minutes and the nearest train stations are Oxford (21 miles) and Didcot (22 miles), Charlbury (16 miles) and Swindon (17 miles).

Local InformationSomerton is delightful village steeped in history dating back hundreds of years with mentions in the Domesday Book and also links to William The Conqueror after the Battle of Hastings. The church in particular (a Grade One listed building) is relatively famous in local circles for its historical significance. Somerton is no more than 15 mins outside Woodstock, the very popular Oxfordshire market town and just 15 miles from the centre of Oxford. The village also enjoys superb travel links with Bicester train station (to London Marylebone) 10 mins drive away or Junction 10 of the M40 no more than 3 miles away. The village sits on the northern side of the Oxfordshire Cotswolds with the River Cherwell and Oxford Canal both meandering through the edge of the village and just moments from this holiday cottage. The meadows at the river are absolutely perfect for evening 'sun-downers'. There are many walks to choose from, right from your door. The very famous and very popular Bicester Shopping Outlet Centre (or Bicester Village as it is called) is 10 mins away if shopping is your thing. There are a variety of good pubs in the locality, but none in the village. Of particular note is The Falkland Arms in Great Tew, one of the prettiest spots imaginable.
