The unspoilt Axe estuary is also nearby with its bird and nature reserve and provides some lovely walking opportunities. The market town of Axminster is 1 mile away with shops inns restaurants a sports centre weekly market and the famous River Cottage Café and Shop run by Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall. Other attractions in the area include Abbotsbury Crealy Bicton Park Burrows Farm Gardens and a selection of National Trust properties including Killerton and Knightshayes Court. Accommodation overview: A beautiful cottage with breath-taking sea views, just perfect for couples. Perched on the cliff top edge of one of the prettiest villages in North Devon, Williams Cottage enjoys breath-taking sea views stretching from Baggy to Hartland Point with Lundy Island on the horizon. Perfect for couples looking for a tranquil retreat, this delightful character cottage is surprisingly spacious and stylishly presented throughout. The sitting room has a cosy wood burning stove and the alcoved window seat is a perfect spot to relax and gaze out at the amazing sea views. From the separate dining room, also with lovely sea views, a few steps lead down into the kitchen which has a stable door opening onto the garden. A fairly steep staircase, typical in properties of this era, takes you up to the separate bathroom and attractive master bedroom where you will be lulled to sleep by the sound of a nearby waterfall tumbling through a cleft down to the sea. Both rooms have stunning views. There is a stream just across the front lawn separated by a low wall. A short stroll leads down to the pebble beach, where at low tide soft sandy inlets appear between the rock pools. The famous village of Clovelly is well worth a visit, via the coastal path, and you can take a fishing trip from the small cove or simply explore the ancient cobbled streets. Westward Ho! and it’s fabulous stretch of golden sands, popular with surfers is just a ten minute drive away. Boat trips to Lundy Island in Summer offer a rare opportunity to see seals, dolphins, puffins and other diverse wildlife in their natural habitat. There is so much to see and do in this unspoilt part of North Devon, and Williams Cottage is a really special home to return to. Accommodation overview: Set in the picturesque fishing village of Mousehole in a delightful cluster of cottages hugging the harbour on the western shore of Mounts Bay, this comfortable attractive accommodation comprises the entire ground floor of a spacious yet traditional terraced fishermans cottage in a quiet lane just around the corner from the harbour and waters edge.
Entered by a glazed front door into a light central hallway, a door on one side opens to a pretty double bedroom with 5 ft kingsize bed and painted natural stone walls. On the opposite side 3 steps lead up to a bright shower room W.C. with hand basin.
At the far end of the hall, a couple of steps lead up to an attractive open plan large living area, with casual comfy seating amidst a nautical themed decor, and a small fitted kitchen/diner.
From the kitchen a rear door and a few steps lead down to a wonderful little sun terrace with lovely clear views of the harbour and sea, through a gated alleyway between the cottages providing a handy short cut to the harbour front.
It is possible to unload outside the property but parking is in the car park 25 yards away. All of the local village stores and shops are 2 minutes walk, Penzance with a wider range of amenities and a mainline railway station is 3 miles, as are the sandy beaches of Long Rock and Marazion.

Accommodation overview: A charming wing of a Grade II listed house, set in the owners peaceful 2.5 acres of garden in the churchtown of Gorran amid beautiful farmland, within easy reach of lovely coastal walks and splendid gardens open to the public.
Reached by an unmade track and a long private drive which leads up to the parking area, the front door opens directly into a brightly fitted kitchen/dining room, leading through to an attractive Georgian style sitting room, comfortably furnished, enjoying tranquil views of the owners mature garden and fields beyond.
At the far end, rather steep stairs go up to a landing, a bathroom W.C. with hand basin and a bath with shower fitment and to two bedrooms, a double with views of lovely countryside and one with two single 3ft beds one of which can be stowed away if not required. Visitors have the use of most of the extensive grounds except for the walled orchard and courtyard behind the house.
A nearby public footpath winds its way through woods to reach the sea at Portmellon. The village of Gorran, half a mile, has a general store / P.O. and a pub providing good meals in a pleasant atmosphere. The attractive east facing sandy beach at Gorran Haven is 1.5 miles away. The award winning Lost Gardens of Heligan are 4 miles and The Eden Project is about a 30 minute drive. There are a selection of eateries at St Ewe, Pentewan and the fishing village of Mevagissey all within a 10 minute drive.
